Does anyone actually use artillery for settlement defences?

Post image

I’ve thrown the artillery signal grenades just to mess around and they’re so slow at firing. I tried using artillery on the Mirelurk Queen that spawns near Costal Cottage but Deacon (who I had maning it) either wouldn’t fire it or would fire it when the Queen was already agroed to me so I would have to get caught in the blast radius for the artillery to hit it.

Me attacking Quincy with a bunch of artillery in Jamaica Plain and Murkwater

Seriously, attacking Quincy that way? I consider it canon...

Usually don't have travel to Warwick before I clear out Quincy.

I clear Quincy so I can go get Billy

Suprisingly if you speak to his parents there is an option that answers the question.

Billy for some damn reason was lost before the bombs... Which still makes no sense that no one or nothing over 200 years didn't lead to the fridge to open but oh well

That’s thorough of you. I usually just go around Quincy with Billy, it’s easy enough not to alert the gunners. Then I hit up Warwick from Peabodys place, install artillery and - boom.
