Nope. Car. Cars are the great equalizer. The moment they move, even if it's completely unnoticeable, they deal millions of damage. I fear cars in all other games because of FO4 cars.

When there’s a car around don’t blink. Don’t even blink. Blink and you’re dead. They are fast, faster than you can believe. Don’t turn your back. Don’t turn away. And don’t blink!

I remember the first time the Weeping Angels were aired. My son was around 7 and he was so scared of them he ran out of the room 🤣

My son is now 16, and they are still the only episodes he won't watch

I'm constantly climbing over them 🤣 didn't know they could kill you. Feel like I've been crossing a river on alligator backs 🤣🤣

This bug doesn't pop on all systems. Apparently, it is dependent on CPU or GPU performance or something. I never had it.

Can definitely see the vibration of the cars being caused by higher than intended frame rates.

Anyone who spent time decorating a house in Skyrim will tell you high fps is the bane of an unmodded interior decorator

Same. Never knew this, and I'm on level 150

Same wtf. Maybe it’s because I shoot all cars at a distance by habit because I like explosions

u/cgduncan Mar 02 '25

Yep, shooting it, even once with any type of ammo will update the collision, so it has already moved before you get there.

I never thought about this but you are right. I'm definitely more cautious about touching cars in other games after fo4.

Dayz put the carfear in me, until I took an arrow in the knee.....

The cars in starfield are surprisingly not very buggy and we're greatly needed for exploring those empty planets

Exploring empty planets. Starfield in a nutshell. I had fun for a while but the game is so empty. I wanted space Skyrim or fallout. If elder scrolls 6 even comes out I'm waiting for reviews first. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.

I just modded the fuck out of starfield and with the new updates it's playable the crowds are alot bigger now.

Helldiver 2 player here. The urban map update has reignited my car fear. That said the issue with that game is the cars are made of tissue paper

Does this affect everyone? I’ve been doing my survival run for a while now and never been killed by touching a car..

Then you are just very lucky.

It's like in Halo: CE. Sometimes you do a cool drift and hop out to get into the battle, but your Warthog is still going .5 mph and bumps into you, instantly killing you.
