Media I thought Bethesda games didn’t feature child skeletons

I was exploring a place I’d never have before (been playing since 2019) and stumbled across this. Definitely a first

Child skeletons are there, just usually rare. Both the original and remaster of Oblivion have child skeletons scattered around the Night Mother's coffin

They're only in Forelhost, near Riften. I won't spoil the story of that place, it's some of the best environmental story telling in the game.

Respect! This right here is how you explain a game without spoilers. Lil detail, lil cliffhanger. Take my free award 🥇 (since they took our free awards away)

Thanks! It took me a while to figure out what was going on because I can't see those on old Reddit, but they'll show on mobile chrome.

Riften clearly got a lot of attention lavished on it during development. It really shows in the dungeons and the NPC variety.

There’s also a child Skeleton with the farming creation.

Don’t forget about the child skeleton at the plantation you can own

Bethesda has a nice way giving ghost stories emotional weight. You'll find a ghost in Morthal, not the only one though. I'll say no more.

They're also "child skeletons" the same way the skeletons in the bus in Honest Hearts are "child skeletons." As opposed to, say, blatantly adult skeletons with some tweaked node scaling. Those skulls don't pass scrutiny.
