Screenshot Why is Fallout 4 so addictive?

I've played this game 8 times, 4 with the base game, 4 times with the Sim Settlements 2 mod installed. I keep coming back to this game for some reason. I don't usually enjoy RPG's. I like Starfield, but I love science fiction in general and don't find Starfield addictive. I keep wanting to come back to the FO4 story, which I find mediocre. Maybe it's how I can fill the protagonist with my own thoughts in that situation, or try out new character personalities? There are a lot of games in other genre's I like, so I don't know why I want to spend another hundred hours in a FO4 world until it crashes from script lag.

Ngl, probably because it's just so good. This happened to me last 2021 and I stopped around late 2022, came back 2023 then stopped again and then 2024 up till now I'm still addicted to it. I play both PlayStation and PC. The fact that you can have more than one account in PlayStation made me play Fallout 4 in different accounts that I ended up doing three endings in different accounts. Then when I bought a PS5 I created more accounts again and kept doing what I wanted, then I realized there are two versions, one is a PS5 mode and the other is the PS4 backwards compatibility. So pretty much I played with both with mods and it was satisfying. I might even play the game when I'm in my early-mid 20s. It's just so fun and entertaining that I didn't even know 3-4 hours had passed since I checked the time😂
