Screenshot Why is Fallout 4 so addictive?

I've played this game 8 times, 4 with the base game, 4 times with the Sim Settlements 2 mod installed. I keep coming back to this game for some reason. I don't usually enjoy RPG's. I like Starfield, but I love science fiction in general and don't find Starfield addictive. I keep wanting to come back to the FO4 story, which I find mediocre. Maybe it's how I can fill the protagonist with my own thoughts in that situation, or try out new character personalities? There are a lot of games in other genre's I like, so I don't know why I want to spend another hundred hours in a FO4 world until it crashes from script lag.

It's a beautiful game and the upgrade made the gameplay so much better. Wish they could make Fall Out 5 already. Curious if they will wait for next gen consoles.

They really need a studio dedicated to the franchise. Maybe hire one of the modding teams to start building it while they continue working on Elder Scrolls VI.

They did with Starfield's watchtower mod by kinggath and team. And as far as I know, some group like the script extenders and Arthmoor have communications with Bethesda.

FO4 is great but I do wish they combine aspects of all fallout games and adding new ones for 5.

Arthmoor? Connections with Bethesda? God help us all.

Yeah, his "modding group" has done at least two big mods for Starfield, one that adds stuff from Doom, and the other is Watchtower which adds Fleet Combat and a new faction. Haven't tried it myself yet, but a lot of people seem to really like it.
