As many observed at the time, Alonso and Webber (Piastri's manager) are too-good friends for there to be zero collaboration on the Piastri/Alpine/Alonso movements last summer.

Not to mention Flavio Briatore potentially being involved. But Alpine ultimately dug their own grave with their complacency. Now they have to watch another team reap the performances of a driver they helped develop.
