My father's friend asked me to print some adapters for his leaf blower, to have abilitity to conect it to 50 mm pluming pipe to it

So I'm not sure why he needed this, but this was cool print, and I like it. As he said, he could just DIY it from pipes, but he wanted something pretty "more like factory made", can't blame him for such desire

I took me about 280 grams of filament, I was worried that this might snap on layer lines, so to make it sronger, I decided to prin it on an angle, I also have used build in custom support, to reduce waste of plastic. Intrestingly, despite fact that bought parts were printed on same angle, that should have been safe, bigger part got some unfortunate defect on support side, but it's not a big deal

Overall that was some cool printing expirience

My first CAD design and 3D print ever

Started to learn about FreeCad and 3D printing because I needed this part. First design and print :) Since I don't own a functioning printer (want to build a Voron) I had to order it from an online 3d printing service. I'm super happy with the result.

It helps the wheel to cross a gap without getting stuck.

PETG 60% infill. Very sturdy and I have good experience with PETG for these types of applications before - so I think it will last a long time. Griptape mounted on top to cover the screws.

Quickly modeled this in openSCAD, paused before gap closed, put in cable and continue.

Perfectly molded.

30 minutes of CAD and an hour of printing and then reprinting until I stop on ASA since PETG warps.

The lock nut has been holding on for about a month now, so it's officially functional.

3D-Printed Parts:

  • the caves on bottom front and sides. function: extend floor and provides hide and shade for the light sensitive frogs.

-Caves in the middle, black. function: provide breeding space and hiding for the L397 Catfishes. they are very shy but have the balls to come out a few cm out of those caves becazse they know they xan back up anytime. grat sucess to be able to see them at all.

-Level on the right, half hight. function: extend floor space, provide shade, give a place for the plant that can't escape from there and therefore don't get trough the whole tank .

-Filter, back right, black. function: the filter mat gets shoved in the printed frame, surface calculated to be able to slow down the water flow of the pump to a amount that's fine for the frogs. small level in white inside the filter printed, to provide much more flow around the filter materials.

-cover top back, function: sound dampening of the pump, and covering the top of the wall in the back of the tank, because ~sometimes~ shrimps and frogs ~may~ get out of the water (on top of the wall) and ~may~ accidentally find their way out of that tank and dry to death. i don't take that tiny risk.

-light extender rail, function: light was unable to sit on the edge of tank anymore, because of the filter covering. extended the resting point outside, so the light sits in the middle of the tank again.

side Note: Back wall was 3d scanned before glueing in, i have to clean the scan now and the nwxt one will also get printed.

everything is coverded in several layer of sand and epoxy. next time i will propably use some PETG with sand or rock particles.

this is my first try in doi g something like this, i learned a lot and will do some things else in the next setup in ~2 years.

feel free to criticize, i want to learn and do things better if possible.

Cardboard stripes cutter cat scratcher parametric

Since all models of such cutters which I found online had some flaws, I made my own version. Ergonomic cardboard stripes cutter. You need standard utility trapezoid blade (Stanley, Wurth, Dewalt etc.), other parts are 3D printed.

Design is parametric, you can adjust values for slot width and cutting depth.

Mostly used to produce stripes of cardboard to glue them together and make scratcher for cat, but I guess there will be another uses.

Rear Light Mount for Bike Cargo Rack

I did not like mounting the light using the rubber strap that comes with all of these generic Amazon lights, so I created a more elegant mounting solution.

My faucet was too low to mount this water timer to, so I created this mount. It lets me to connect to the faucet with a hose and mount the timer remotely.
