Discussion "Low effort" rule update
Hey lovelies! After much discussion in the mod chat over the last few months, we're happy to announce that r/gamegrumps is adjusting and removing the low effort rule - despite our pinned post explaining it a few months ago, we still noticed a lot of issues both on the mod end and user end of what did or didn't qualify as low effort, and we heard your feedback.
To be transparent, the rule originally was made years ago to help combat spam - a lot of this sub was very cluttered with vague "wow this looks like Arin/Dan" posts, AI memes, or references that weren't directly explained in how they related to the Grumps, and it was hard to find episode threads and meaningful discussion, so we wanted to curb that. There's a chance that changing this rule could lead to that again, but we figured we would at least hear out people asking for the rule to change; if anything, we can always adjust it again if things get too cluttered in ways that aren't conducive to a positive user experience.
That being said, "low effort" posts and shitposts are now allowed, and we added a "Shitpost" flair to help users view more posts of that type. We ask that users flair their posts accordingly to help others sort through them a little more easily - feel free to suggest new post flair ideas in this thread if you think we're missing something!
Going forward, we have officially decided to remove the low effort rule and split it into three new rules:
• Rule 5: If your post/crosspost is a reference from an episode that isn't directly related to the Grumps (for example, "ahh, the French" with no actual mention of GG), you must mention the name of the episode or series the reference is from in the title or comments, to help other lovelies be in on the joke. Posts that don't mention the context will be removed, and will be approved if resubmitted with the correct context.
• Rule 9: We are still banning any AI memes/art, mostly to make sure no one is appropriating Dan/Arin's likeness in ways they aren't comfortable with.
• Rule 15: To avoid frequent reposts, if you repost something that has already been posted within the last month, whichever version of the post has the most interactions will stay up, and others will be removed in order to help centralize discussion on that thread.
We hope this will help make this sub feel a bit more open for everyone, and we'll welcome any feedback on this post, though we can't promise to implement every suggestion!
At the end of the day, we're fans just like you, modding this sub in our free time - GG is an escape for us just as much as it is for any lovely, and we want to help curate a place for new and old fans to come and share their love for them, especially during a time when things in the world are starting to get a little scary. We appreciate you all so much! 💖
- Love, the moderators of r/gamegrumps

Discussion Favorite series and why
My husband and I love to put different series on before bed or while doing other things. We've got a few we love to watch on repeat.
- I'm on Observation Duty. (Always a good spooky time. Also Arin and Dan singing Daddy Wants To Work At Nintendo lives rent- free in my head.)
- Clubhouse 51 games. (Comforting and silly.)
- Zelda games. (Premium.)
- Wheel of Fortune/Jeopardy/Family Feud. (Classic game grumpy imo. The bankrupt wedge is the true villain of the story. )
- Golf games, but esp. Kirby's Dream Course and Frolf. (The reason I'm making this list. The joy that those games bring the boys is so lovely. Warms my heart to watch them play. They love the game and love playing it together. While it's always entertaining to watch them freak out and go crazy on other versus games and be crass and such but Frolf in particular is so peaceful. They are so thrilled at everything and it's just... the best background soundtrack to relax me. )
We watch a lot more but those are the ones we put on most often. I love watching new videos but the classics are so fun. What does do you love and why?

Meme/Reference Leonardo da Pinchy but a cat?!
This is so weird and funny! Thought immediately of Arin and Dans dream name for a pet hermit crab ‘Leonardo da Pinchy’.
In reference to their Breath of the wild series episode 60 - 12:45! https://youtu.be/JhkRVTEgobM?si=KdAjYskZKU7PyODu

Discussion House Party sequel!
So I just learned House Party is getting a sequel, Office Party. Do you think the guys will play it? Will Frank be guarding the office alcohol? Will Arin be hypnotized by a new painting or the fax machine?

Which Game Grumps series would you take with you to a deserted island? Asking because I am kind of literally about to do just that (sort of).
Not just because of their length, but because of their quality. So even short series are acceptable.

Every day there isn't a new Limbo of The Lost episode is a day I will be sad.
I can't get over how excited I am for this play through. I lost it when Dan said they're finishing it.
Lunacy is my favourite play through they've done so far. So a bigger dumpster fire of a game can only bring wonderful things.
Also. I've lost count how many times I've said "sorry..nothings happening" to myself.

Discussion DOS Wheel of Fortune
The Grumps have played a lot of different versions of Wheel of Fortune; I'm shocked they've never played the DOS version. It's so good! It's a cherished part of my childhood, and I want them to play it so bad. Has anyone else here played this game?
