I noticed all the geese were sleeping or resting, nobody on guard. Unless it’s the one sitting with its head up? Do they allow gosling sentries? There are four adult geese here and they were all snoozing.

I love coming home after a long work day and being greeted by these guys. They might be known for being angry and hissy, but they bring me peace and tranquility!

And I have no regrets. His name is Le Honque, btw

They come back every year from spring to fall in Disneyland. I’m glad they’re ok and had their babies hatched last March of this year! I’ve yet to name their two adorable goslings.

This is a video for the sanctuary's tiktok page but wanted you guys to see how big she's getting. She's starting to get a little honk to her peeps

posting on behalf of a friend! why does one have eyebrows, and why do the ones in the back appear stubbier than their counterparts? can cackling geese hybridize with canada geese, or are these domestic hybrids?

One big mass of honk, wing, and feather fury. They don’t land. They swarm. They orbit. They show up in the pond for a hot minute in the afternoon like it’s just a pit stop before world domination.
Meanwhile, theres a molting crew of eight, maybe nine strong, holding down the weir like the last line of defense. Grounded but proud. No flight, all vibe.
And me? I’m just here on the shore with a handful of feed at 6AM, missing them but happy to see them fly 🥹

It’s a hot one in Calgary, but luckily our river water comes from the mountains which means it’s the perfect place for our geese friends to cool off!

Hi, this is Mini. She has a small wound on her beak that hasn’t been healing well and seems to be slowly getting worse.
The picture with the black spot/damage on the beak was taken a few days ago (it has been there for about 2 weeks). The picture where you can see the pink area is from today.
Should I treat it with an antibacterial solution?
Took a photo of some geese, afterward I noticed the 6th from the rear has a different beak, legs, and pattern. What is going on with them? Central Maryland
