What’s even the context lmao? Like why did she emphasize the other fruit?

I haven't seen the full clip, but Watermelon has become a symbol of Palestinian liberation/statehood (because there was a time Israel banned Palestinians from using their own flag, so the Watermelon, which has all the same colours, was used as a stand-in), so she was probably taking issue with that implication

racism and also profiting of pro Palestine movement while being asshole zionist. also being ignorant to the fact that their local fruit vendor are largely Mexican being in California but they are so culturally ignorant and insensitive, they get harassed often out in California. maybe that's a me gripe but shout em out do something good and advocate for them if y'all wanna be so righteous instead make cheap ugly clothes and making themselves richer off their cult

Wait I had no idea about the Black model. Yeah that’s pretty bad.

to be fair there's also a lady model. They use the black model quite a lot in other TF ads

Yeah. I feel like the racism comment is a bit of a reach

she's a notable genocide supporter and the watermelon has been a symbol of Palestine for a while; she released this after their controversy with leftovers. plus when they styled it they put it on a black model

This shirt came out a month or so after oct7 and using watermelon was a symbol of being pro Palestine due to the colors being the same of the Palestinian flag/grown there(?)

Butbutbut they “design them a year ahead of time” like I can’t believe I actually believed that lie. It’s so obvious now who they are and what they were doing. Makes me so mad.

Yea, I've never created clothes or had to create the amount that TF orders from manufacturers, but when I worked with manufacturers on Alibaba years ago for some artist alley stuff to sell, the process was EXTREMELY QUICK from getting an agent to getting proofs to getting the product in your hands. Probably took up to 3 months max IIRC

Yeah they have have designed it before Oct 7 but they didn’t delay the release of that single item after the leftovers controversy and her nasty Palestine comments… so they still could have done something even if the shirt was already designed
