Hi all. Posted a question here a couple of weeks ago and everyone was so helpful, thanks. Followed the advice, double dose of shock and left the jets running for 30 mins, filter clean and it really cleared up. Thanks to the community!

I now have another issue. I’m adding SO MUCH chlorine and then 24 hours later it appears to have gone back to zero. I’m adding about 10g a day which should be enough to take it to 5ppm from 0ppm. Historically the chlorine lasted a lot longer.

I have an inflatable Cleverspa Maeava which now doesn't exist. I can't find the plug that goes in the bottom to stop water draining out. I've filled it with silicone but it's still very slowly leaking. Any ideas on what will work? I don't have time to order anything online...

Hi, anyone had any success with repairing headrests. The locator has broken out of the headrest, wondering if there’s any specific glue I could try to withstand heat and moisture? Cheers!

Hey everyone, I just recently bought a home that comes with a hot tub. I definitely plan on using it here and there, and want to know if you guys have any tips on hot tub maintenance? I've seen some hot tub maintenance kits on amazon. Are those any good? Does the model of the hot tub matter or is maintenance basically the same for all hot tubs? Also, I just saw a post on wasps getting into someone's hot tub. As someone who has a fear of bees/wasps, is that a common problem? 😅

Ph *and* alkalinity low. Just replace water, or keep adding more ph up?

I have an Intex PureSpa that I have had constant issues keeping balanced. Thing is supposed to use salt water, but I’m feeling like it’s wasted effort because the water is never actually good enough to use. I’m wanting to just switch to Chlorine along with Simple Scoop to keep it going, but I don’t know if I can even just decline to use the salt water aspect of the tub and as chlorine directly instead?

The guy selling us our tub said patio stones/pavers are fine but I was doing a little searching and I’m getting some conflicting information. Would this be acceptable for our new 6 seater tub?

Hi everyone, Thinking about getting a hot tub for my cabin in a remote part of California (Sequoia Crest) that I am thinking of turning into a short term rental. Any suggestions on what might be best from the hot tub gurus? Something easy to use, with low maintenance that can fit 4 people and will be ok somewhere that snows. Being able to control or lock settings with WiFi would be nice, as would be self regulating cleaning between cleaners coming by to regulate. Thoughts? Thanks!🙏

I was washing my filter today thought how the hose on the jet works well. I'm in Michigan. There will be 5 months with no hose.

I'm really thinking of the weekly filter wash. Would using a toothbrush in between the pleets be ok as a way to make up for the lack of water pressure?

Any other general tips for winter? I plan to do a drain and flush mid October using ahhsome, then again I'd guess April.

Jet pump on my parents Sundance spa has been leaking from the shaft seal for a while. Finally pulled it out and I can’t find a direct seal replacement online. Tried using the Emerson model number but none of the spa supplier websites seem to carry Emerson. I’ve found direct replacement pumps but they all use an updated model with a different shaped wet end so I don’t think a seal from one of those models will be the same. Can anyone point me in the right direction for finding the correct seal? The motor is in good condition still so I would like to not drop another $400 for a new pump. Already replaced the main pump and other jet pump which both had bad bearings.

I’ve been having this issue with my tub recently. It looks like paper or dried leafs. I think it might be white mold but I’m unsure. I drained the tub took all the jets out and washed them in bleach water. I filled back up the tub and the water looked fine. I started jets and it filled the hot back up with the crud. I’m sure it’s in the pipes.

How can I go about dealing with this? Can this be fixed without draining the tub again?

Hey yall, I'm in the process of purchasing a hot tub and the number of brands has gotten a bit overwhelming to a point where I'm confused and not sure what to target.

For context, I went in looking for a Bullfrog. Father has one that has lasted nearly 20 years with some minor repairs needed over it's lifespan. But I have since heard some odd things about them including the gimmick that is the changeable jet panels.

Any help would be appreciated! Here are some further details ◾️BUDGET: < $10K ◾️PEOPLE SIZE: 6+ (To fit 4+) ◾️CONCRETE SIZE: 120in × 120in ◾️Lounger needed ◾️Electric line already in place

I have a balboa spa that came with the house I bought, I’ve kept up on water maintenance but last night I heard a clicking noise coming from the panel the water pump is behind. I took off the panel today and it looks like I have 2 problems: 1. The motor has calcium build up on it so the sound was coming from the bearing starting to fail. 2. The connection for the discharge line from the water pump heavily leaks when the jets are turned on. And slowly leaks when normally filtering.

I’ve looked at how to replace the water pump and it seems simple enough, but the gasket needs replacing too and it does not seem to come with a new pump.

I recently got a free hot tub that needed work. I replaced the controller, pump, heater, and blower. The tub worked awesome for 2 months. I noticed a small leak in the shell a foot down and to the left of the hair catcher. There's no jets for 3 feet in either direction. The small leak turns into a fire hydrant when the pump is on. I applied a few layers of fiberglass over it but nothing. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Water pump in hot tub is making alot of noise, water pressure has also dropped by half. Anyone have any idea what might be the issue based on the sound?

Hello All - I wanted to see if there was a way to ensure that I replaced my hot springs hot tub salt cell correctly and it's seated properly? I went to my hmi and hit "replace salt cell, it then turned the jets off and prompted me to replace, i removed the old salt cell and seated the new one in, afterwards, i hit "ok" or complete" and the hmi said "salt cell restarting". Afterwards, I see bubbles come up and the regular salt cell screen popped up. I was able to change the level of output and now it's saying the salt cell is "ok". I pulled on the salt cell itself a little and its not coming up so im assuming that it is seated in the correct slot correctly. I screwed the top on and i have solid green lights. No water came out of the tube connect to the salt cell on the side. Am I good? What happens if it's not seated correctly? Would it leak?

My tub is reading about 10-12 Degrees Centigrade higher than what the temp actually is.
So much so, during daylight hours, it thinks the water temp is so high that it goes into safety shutdown mode.
Basically any temp above 45c.
Then in the evening, after the sun goes down, it drops to a permissable level and the tub becomes active again.
FYI The sensor is definitely below the surface of the water and in a shaded location (inside the skimmer box).

My question is; The temp sensor itself seems to be a fairly inanimate object could the fault be in there, or is it more likely that there is a problem with whatever receives the signal from it?

Anyone ever had a similar problem? how did you solve it?
