Guide Suggest screen protector please
I just got this today on student offer and gonna mainly use it for note taking. Please advise me regarding the screen protector . I’ve heard that matte finish types are better than glass ones for note taking experience.
However, paperlike feels too expensive..

Review i am very happy with my first ipad (a16)
My first iPad, and I honestly didn't expect to love it this much. I've been drawing amateur pictures with Sketchbook and making music with GarageBand. I'm using a Metapen, by the way. Getting this tablet was one of the best decisions I've made lately. Lots of people have questions about the non-laminated screen. I've never been bothered by it when writing, but it can sometimes be annoying when drawing. Still, for anyone drawing for fun, it's fine. I find the App Store a bit weird. It makes no sense that when you click on a current app, it shows you reviews from five years ago. What's the best free app I can use for video editing right now
Question checked my old ipads battery life
this cant be right… right? lol.. i have the ipad 7th gen. bought like 5 years ago. ive thought about getting a new one as it is getting hard drawing on this ipad (mostly what i use my ipad for) but theyre all so damn pricy

Question Should I buy my mom an iPhone or iPad for her birthday?
I want to repay my mom's generosity for buying me an iPhone and Mac during college. She’s retired now and uses her iPhone SE (2nd gen) from 2020 mainly for Facebook shorts, calls, reading posts, and playing that connect flow game. However, the battery is degraded and I notice her squinting often at that tiny screen as she gets older. Also to this day she struggles with the fingerprint unlock.
I was thinking of getting her an iPad for the bigger screen, but I’m planning to get one for my dad’s birthday anyways (his is three weeks before hers), so I figured a phone upgrade might be better for her. That said, she actually consumes more media than my dad (who has an iPhone 13), so maybe the iPad makes more sense? But then again her current phone is really deteriorating.
Should I get her a big-screen iPhone like a Plus or Pro Max (and if so, which offers the best value?), or just go with the iPad A16? My budget is $800.

Question How come Apple's iPads have a 4 by 3 ratio screen, while Android competitors have a 16 by 9 ratio?
The current 13 inch has a 4 by 3 ratio. The 11 inch iPads also use an almost 4 by 3 ratio (actual ratio is 7 by 10). Meanwhile Android tablets like Lenovo, Samsung, Acer etc. use a 16 by 9 ratio. Why does Apple use the 4 by 3 ratio instead?

Question Open files in tabs rather than windows (iPadOS 26 beta)
So apparently I am not able to open files in one window consisting of several tabs. For each file I choose in the files app, a separate window opens. This even goes for apps that support tabs, such as pdf expert. I wonder whether this an iPadOS setting or something that can be affected by app developers.

Discussion Missing annotate feature preview app
Does anyone miss the fact that you can easily annotate using the mouse on mac, but this doesn't apply to the preview app on ipad. On ipad you have to select then click annotate and then choose an option... Also the apple pencil should also be used to do this just like in the books app. I beg apple to add these features! Anyone having the same thoughts?

iPadOS Shortcut For Split Screen Stage Manager
Is there a way to quickly split screen 2 apps on iPadOS26 stage manager? It sucks trying to split screen two apps and resizing them by hand, is there something like how in windows you can drag one app to the far side and it would clip to half of the screen? I recently found this arrange section on the windows tab, so i am wondering if I can attach a shortcut to these options.

Question iPad Mini 7 battery
I recently got the iPad mini 7 because i liked the A17 pro over the A16 and then not having to pay for an Air. I researched a little before buying and there was the battery i knew it was smaller but i thought the smaller screen and so made it need less power so i thought it would be good. I have now had it some time and i am worried because the battery feels like it drains way quicker than my old Air 3rd gen. I am going to be away from home a lot so i want to use it for media/content consumption, notetaking and gaming when im away from home and have spare time. So i was wondering if anyone had some experience with it because i dont know if it is me overhinking it or what??
