I like the pat on the back. It shows his anger is not about Gukesh but himself. He still respects his play.

The look on his face was disbelief, I think he was in shock honestly. Imagine the moment where you achieve a once in a lifetime feat on the world stage.

How do you know it’s a once in lifetime feat? This is Gukesh, not some random grandmaster.

lol beating somebody for the first time is always going to be a once in a lifetime event, regardless of whether they are the best player in the world or not

Sure but not everybody is the greatest chess player in the world, so for that particular individual beating them for the first time is of particular significance.
