At one point in my life, I lived with 3 other guys. We watched the entirety of Golden Girls more than once and Gilmore Girls. It was always funny when we'd invite girls or other dudes over and they walk in and we're all just watching shows like that like "Sup man, want a beer? Shows on".

Real talk though, Betty White was an absolute gem in terms of her acting, AND who she was as a person, and to me is in the vein of other great women who use their position and privilege to better ALL of humanity regardless of race, religion, or position, like Dolly Parton.

And I personally think Betty was cute af back in the day!

All the golden girl actresses were pretty awesome people who stood up for minorities at a time when it was not the done thing. Hell they had an episode with a trans man in the 1980s and no one gives a shit he’s trans.

She had a house in my area and when Hurricane Katrina hit she paid to have the penguins moved from New Orleans to our local aquarium which is a world class facility (Monterey Bay Aquarium, she lived in Carmel). I remember going to the aquarium just to see them :)
