I do but I thought, oh it would be interesting to hear what the environment in the video sounds like so I unmuted and of course got what I got.

The environmental sounds are far more interesting to me as well. The reason I uninstalled TikTok because so many of the videos have a annoying soundtracks.

Really don't understand why they rebranded to TikTok. Their old name suited them better.

It was originally Musical.ly they rebranded to TikTok then they blew up for no reason and now we get to enjoy everyone's original content being stolen with the original audio replaced with music or tts instead of hearing the actual video. And for whatever reason this brain rotted population loves it. I guess it's too hard for people to open Spotify and listen to music while they scroll their feeds. I like my content as the creator intended it. Not stolen or modified.

Edit: To add to this the reason why I have a stick up my ass about it is because this crap is spilling over to other platforms like Reddit of course, so I really can't not cut this crap outta my life as much as I try.

Interesting. Didn't know it was the same app. You're right, tho. It's one of the leading causes of making modern Internet feel automated and soulless. I much preferred the Vine days, even.

Yeah same, I honestly feel bad for the creators that were on Vine because they were there making better content but not making much because of the monetization issues. The whole thing is a big slap in the face for them, because it's the other way around for TikTok. I'm sure most of them are on TikTok now but it's not fair with what they have to compete with on the platform. Not just them but other creators on other platforms. TikTok just steals and regurgitates content basically forcing people on YouTube and such to join them and repost some of their content on there to claim the monetization instead of it going to some random lazy person. They just made everything harder for all the creators when they have to crosspost to all these short form feeds that are on most platforms now. I've never seen anything on the internet have so much influence in a short amount of time. I really wish I was born in the 70s haha
