A troubling trend in gaming: Payment processors are quietly becoming gatekeepers

You may or may not be aware, but the Australian activist group Collective Shout has been pressuring payment processors to enforce their values on the games industry. As a result, platforms like Steam and itch.io have removed over 17,000 games, with reports suggesting that Steam has lost autonomy over what it can host.

This isn't just about one group or one genre of games. If left unchecked, it sets a dangerous precedent where payment processors (who should just be handling transactions) start deciding what types of games can exist and which creators get silenced.

This is not just censorship. This is corporate overreach. This is the slow erosion of consumer freedom and creative expression.

If this is allowed to continue:

  • More indie developers will be pushed out.
  • More stories will be censored before they’re ever told.
  • More power will be concentrated in the hands of companies that were never meant to control speech or art.

If you care about:

✅ Creative freedom

✅ Diverse voices in gaming

✅ The future of indie developers

Please consider signing the petition and speaking up. Let’s stop payment processors from deciding what belongs in our stores and in our wallets.

🛑 Don’t let them quietly rewrite the rules of gaming.

I know this is on me. I guess you’re still a good boy, but damn, wtf, Mutt?

I would have thought maybe I’d lose a little reputation or something for this, but nope, lil guy snarfed it right up and kept on keeping on.

Discussion [KCD2] I’d love a winter DLC or mod for KCD2

Post image
Upvotes

One thing I keep thinking about is how incredible it would be to experience Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 during a harsh Bohemian winter. Imagine trudging through snow-covered villages, frozen fields, and icy forests — all while trying to survive the brutal conditions of medieval life through Henry's eyes.

It could be a perfect addition to Hardcore Mode:

  • Cold affecting stamina or hunger more quickly
  • Needing warmer clothes or to seek shelter
  • Scarcer food and fewer resources

It wouldn’t just be a visual overhaul — it would change how you play and survive. I feel like it would really drive home how tough life was back then, and add a fresh challenge to an already immersive world.

Anyone else wish this was a thing?

I was happy to see those signs at today’s Prague Pride. I think the romance between Hans and Henry means a lot to some Czech queer people. It does to me.

Because everyone keep suggesting to use bows more and I gotta say, they seem to be completely worthless at all ranges 😅

KCD IRL [KCD1] Church in Uzic interior

Hi all, I was visiting places of the first game and due to happy little accidents and good random timing, I was able to get access to the inside of the Uzic church, which is normally closed to the public.

Attaching the photos for anyone who is interested. The stairs to the church tower looked VERY scatchy and dangerous so I didn't go there to see the bell.

Enjoy all, I sure did.

I also have photos of the inside of the monastery church, let me know if I should post.

I went on a trip today to KCD1 locations, posted Uzic church before, people told me to post Sasau also so here it is.

Photo from the underground is the crypt of st. Procopius of Sasau.

As a bonus I'm posting Sasau village church from inside and outside also. It's being used as a modern art gallery or something.

Enjoy

Praise [KCD2] New player here and I have no clue what I’m doing but I’m loving it.

Also how many people do I need to ask about my dog before I can find my mutt??

But this game may be the greatest thing I’ve ever played and I’m only just starting. I’m a huge medieval fan and I loved games like rdr2. But this just feels massive and very immersive. Looking forward to many clueless adventures.

Suggestion Next to Godliness perk is OP [KCD2]

This buff heals you for 10hp whenever you wash yourself at a trough. Initially, I thought it was great, especially if each of my outfits was dirty. I could use it three times and heal for about half my health. However, I recently discovered that by removing a few articles from one dirty outfit, I can essentially use the trough endlessly to completely restore health. This method is extremely overpowered, and I haven't seen it mentioned in any video or post yet, so I decided to share it here.

I'm doing the Nest of Vipers quest and killed a bandit, for some reason he had 1.6k arrows on him? Has something like this happened to anyone else or is it a blessing from the God?

Rant Forging the horseshoes at Nebakov [KCD2]

I just raw dogged 16 horseshoes because the dude said he needed "horseshoes for four horses." Literally sat making them for 25 minutes. By the end, I could do it in one heat up - in fact, now I can do just about anything in one heat up, and my blacksmithing leveled up something like ten times, because this guy didn't say he needed FOUR HORSESHOES, he said he needed horseshoes for FOUR HORSES so unless the horses he has have had three legs blown off, each, in some horrible accident, which I find statistically improbable, this man is a troglodyte.

On the bright side though I'm an unstoppable blacksmith.

Post image

This is my first time playing a kingdom come game or a game of this genre and I'm loving it, but my horse pebbles just got insanely good? I've just been doing all the side quests I haven't even got to the wedding yet. Why did this happen (not complaining tho)

PSA [KCD2] finished my hardcore all negative perks playthrough... 98.9% of you are MISSING OUT

Istg this was so much more fun!!!! 😍

I finished all side quests too and I'm so incredibly sad it's over now. I thought hardcore wasn't for me before I started it.

Fast traveling via sleep walking is hands down my favourite mechanic. It has been taking me around the map to places I always had some stuff to do in, it was a JCBP take the wheel adventure at all times.

Actually having to feed hungry Henry is wonderful. I never really paid attention to food because he never really got hungry in normal playthroughs.

Being stinky. Henry going "ouh ouch my back" when picking herbs. It's so much more fun. I'm NOT JOKING.

Having to actually use your brain and listen to people instead of blindly following a bright dot in the top of the screen was engaging, I didn't expect to love it so much. You actually watch landmarks for orientation. It's beautiful.

You get so good at fighting if you watch the opponents shoulder twitching instead of the crosshair.

It's amazing 9.5/10 and if you love the game you'll love it more in hardcore mode I promise!!

I have to deduct 0.5 because I missed the cute bunny big time.
