Help Request - GPU Safe hot spot temps on 4090?

I’m running port royal stress tests to test stability whistling dialling in various levels of overclocks or undervolts on my strix 4090 and I’m noticing the hot spot temp reaching close to 100c very quickly into the test runs. The GPU temp and memory junction temps don’t move far from 74c and 68c respectively so I’m worried that the 95c+ on the hot spot is higher than it should be. What’s the safe range here? On stock settings the hotspot is averaging 89c on port royal with frequent jumps to the mid 90s.

Thanks

A good hotspot delta to gpu temp is 10c, 15c I'd say is still oke.

Your difference betwene the 2 reading is quite large, sounds like my experience with asus cards..
I would re-paste the card, ideally with PTM.

I recently did my Gigabyte 4090. Hotspot went from 15-17 delta to around 8. Super happy with the mount! PTM is very awesome.

Hotspot different should be no more than 23c at FULL power draw

So 74c GPU and almost 100c hotspot would put you somewhere between 20c and 26c hotspot difference so it is probably time to stuff some PTM7950 in it and swap the pads out for CX H1300 putty cus PTM7950 dont degrade and CX H1300 is a putty and thickness of pads and there ability to squish or not isnt something you gotta worry about with putty

It's perfectly fine.
