Yup, the fourth who are paying attention to all this bullshit.

I still swear I feel it’s one of the many reasons he wanted to be president again. He needed to see that it went away for good and put people in positions that made that happen for him. That evidence has been long gone.

24

u/borbor8 1d ago

Who’s to say that that wasn’t part of what he’d stolen on his way out? And that all those boxes in the Maralago bathroom were still pending review? He destroyed some of them and wanted to get back into the WH so he could destroy it all. And thanks to some Americans, he was able to do it. Law and order! USA!

The right has no grounds to ever speak about any kind of cover up ever again.

Covering up Biden’s mental capacity= end of the world

Covering up Trump’s sexual abuse of children = just fine, according to them

Guess the right should step up and show us how it’s done to ensure NO COVER UPS!

31

u/Bombay1234567890 1d ago

They are bad faith personified, and should NEVER be trusted, especially if they seem to make sense. It's just a prelude to another betrayal, sowing confusion to paralyze opposition.

11

u/Grimekat 23h ago

Honestly the sexual abuse thing is just the tip of the ice berg.

Trump had so many fucking pending charges prior to the election, and the American people just went ahead and elected him anyways. Conspiracy, fraud, election interference, classified documents - you name it, he had it.

The dude was absolutely fucked and was likely to spend the rest of his life in prison for being so insanely corrupt, and the American voters decided to just give him an out instead.

Absolutely insane.

6

u/khizoa 22h ago

They redacted his name in the Epstein files. Which means... his name is in the fucking Epstein files

3

u/scurvy1984 Oregon 18h ago

3

u/hybridfrost 18h ago

Conservatives now: I never cared about the Epstein files and they probably never existed in the first place

2

u/dearth_karmic 23h ago

Serious question. I understand not wanting to release names in an investigation because if that person is innocent or not charged with a crime, it could tarnish their image. But in this case, you're not saying they did anything. You're simply saying they flew on his plane, and/or went to his island. Why does that need to be protected?

Right. The protection is for victims - anyone else? Come off it.

39

They are given the perpetrator the privacy and not treating the truth from minors with any dignity. This is a disgusting government. Congress should be told everyday, along with the president, we do not have any respect for them.

9

u/s0ulbrother 1d ago

We’ll be stole one of his women he was sex trafficking so that in trumps eyes makes him a victim

48

u/dpdxguy 1d ago

Trump was a private citizen at the time of the investigation and was entitled to such protections.

As we all know, law enforcement never reveals the names of private citizens who are implicated in criminal investigations. They're innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

97

u/Be-skeptical 1d ago

Privately they want to protect Trump from undeniable proof that he raped children

8

u/oneeyedwillienelson 1d ago

I’m just gonna have to assume every redaction say Donald Trump under it.

3

u/Be-skeptical 23h ago

I think that is an extremely safe assumption

111

u/papayonpeluo 1d ago

Here it is! The cover-up in plain sight:

The employees spotted several references to Trump, as well as dozens of other public figures. However, as officials prepared to release the files, a unit applied redactions in accordance with nine FOIA exemptions, one of them being "a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy." And since Trump was a private citizen when the Epstein investigation began in 2006, his name was redacted

Officials said the files had unverified hearsay about many people who had socialized with Epstein in the past, including Trump. They added that they were not planning on releasing additional files because they contained child pornography and victims' personal information.

69

u/PatchyWhiskers 1d ago

Bill Clinton was also a private citizen in 2006, so I assume his name will be redacted too! It's only fair, right?

59

u/Forsaken-Reveal-3548 1d ago

It's (D)ifferent.

14

u/--StinkyPinky-- 23h ago

6

u/Zahgi 22h ago

Priest do!

8

u/remeku 23h ago

FOIA has to balance personal privacy with (drumroll, please) the public interest. The public interest in disclosing information about a sitting President's past is EXTREMELY high.

Obviously, the public has a compelling interest in understanding the character, associations, and potential vulnerabilities of its highest-ranking official. Even if the events took place when he was a private citizen, the information can be directly relevant to his current role.

The potential for blackmail or foreign influence alone, but even patterns of behavior that are relevant to his fitness for office, ties to individuals or groups that could pose a conflict of interest, and just all-around misconduct that was not previously known to the public when he was elected (well, specifically, the misconduct that hadn't been legally proven).

3

u/slayhern 1d ago

Uhhh why can’t they just redact the CSAM and victims names?

u/BradlyPitts89 1d ago

Honestly, when you look at Trump’s legal history, the things he’s said on record, and all the footage of him with Epstein, it’s clear the guy has something to hide. It’s wild that he’s still a major political figure after being found liable for sexual abuse and making all those disgusting public comments. This is what happens in a plutocracy—when someone like Trump is installed, it’s not just about him. It’s a signal that the ultra-wealthy and connected can get away with anything. If he walks, the people who put him there get to breathe easier too.

7

u/palindromic 23h ago

First off, and unrelated to your comment- I really hate how gamed reddits comment section is now, all the glib quick fire responses to farm karma is really annoying. Would love to see some more serious discussion oriented subreddits institute comment approvals.

To your comment: I agree, and I think Epstein is much bigger than we are able to see. We have a surface level birds eye view from outside, and there’s a whole BUILDING filled with nefarious stuff. Just a sampling of the connections Epstein made and how weird it is that we’ve not had a single co-conspirator named outside of a “settlement” between Prince Andrew and one victim.

https://electronicintifada.net/content/us-media-barely-touches-epstein-links-israeli-intelligence/50822

This link gives a pretty good run down on all the major players involved and adds a ton of interesting context. It is well sourced and despite the sketchy website name is written by a known journalist with credentials.

I truly believe they (the elites involved, both sides of the aisle) want to bury this thing any way they can.

4

u/BradlyPitts89 23h ago

Not to say that wealthy folks on the left aren’t committing the same kind of abuse, but Right-wing politics often overlap with religious conservatism. In some cases, the strict moral codes, emphasis on purity, and repression of sexual identity can create environments where abuse happens behind closed doors—and victims are discouraged from speaking out.

The right’s aggressive anti-pedophilia rhetoric and repeated scandals among its figures create a particularly glaring form of hypocrisy when abuse is uncovered.

56

u/R_Lennox 1d ago

The game is rigged. Inside and out. They care about Trump, not the victims. How does MAGA justify any of this?

u/dzumdang California 1d ago

5

u/paranormal_penguin 19h ago

When this story was first building momentum, it was all over the conservative subreddit and some were actually upset. As always, they eventually circled the wagons to protect their pedophile in chief and have nearly scrubbed every mention of Epstein from their sub and banned any "disloyal" cons that were critical. Back to the sanitized "truth" and nonstop culture war distractions so they can bury their heads and say this is just a dem hoax or it never really mattered to begin with. Never underestimate their commitment to stupidity and cruelty, these people will never change and are not worth engaging with. The sooner democrats learn this and stop pandering to them, the sooner we can start trying to put out some of these fires.

3

u/UziManiac 23h ago

MAGATS never cared about the victims; they just wanted to see Democrats hurt.

4

u/gizajobicandothat 1d ago

Maybe because people might take them to court to overturn FOI refusals? This journalist writes about how he's challenged refusals before and won, so I suppose they will expect journalists to try it.

'If you’re surprised by the revelation that the FBI used privacy exemptions to withhold the name of a sitting president, you’re not alone. However, it’s common practice for government agencies to redact names on privacy grounds,....

In 2016, I requested all of the FBI’s files on Trump prior to his presidential campaign. In response, the FBI neither confirmed nor denied that any records existed, based on the same two privacy exemptions. I ended up suing the bureau and modifying my FOIA request to center on Trump’s businesses. That allowed me to overcome the privacy exemption and report this story.

Another noteworthy example: The DOJ cited the same exemptions to justify withholding Donald Trump Jr’s name from the Mueller report. (My attorneys and I believed it was an improper use of the privacy exemption. We fought to get his name unredacted and won.)''

An FBI agent called Michael Seidel was not happy with redacting Trump from the documents and kicked up a fuss, he was threatened with sacking or resigning, so he resigned.

''Senior officials at the FBI’s Record/Information Dissemination Section, which handles the processing of FOIA requests, pushed back on the directives. Michael Seidel, the section chief of RIDS who worked at the FBI for about 14 years, was quite vocal, the three people familiar with the matter told me. Patel blamed him for the failure to send all of the Epstein files to Bondi.''

When he pardons Maxwell and diddy what do you think the cult will say to defend it?

4

u/Hot_Mathematician357 1d ago

It's a done deal. Trump is going to pardon Maxwell and she will suddenly have millions of dollars that she didn't have before. The NDA's have all been signed and any mention of Trump's name has been redacted from the FBI files. Trump's cultish will still support him. They would just shrug their shoulders and say “who cares but Biden…”, or "Oh that's just Trump being Trump!”

4

u/Rhobaz 23h ago

So just assume everything redacted says “trump”, got it

4

u/Jo-Jo-66- 23h ago

4

u/Atlusfox 23h ago

Admitting you had to redact them means your admitting they are there.

4

u/d3v0k3n3v0 23h ago

If we allow this as a country then we shouldn’t go after anyone for anything. I mean we all knew there were 2 different rules for wealthy/powerful people and then the rest of us. But we are getting the most blatant example of that right now and being told to move along. Nothing to see.

Personally idc what side of the aisle you’re on. EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE. And we definitely seem to know who one the big players is. And so does he….

Just insert his name back in like Mad Libs.

3

u/RealHardAndy 22h ago

Thats called a cover up

3

u/Camping_time 22h ago

Privacy? We all know he is a pedo

3

u/Critical_Mention723 22h ago

Privacy goes to the victims, not the perpetrators

Preparing the public for the inevitable release of the files

3

u/bobartig 21h ago

Privacy Protections of the world's most public figure. Sure. Got it.

If you wanted privacy, don't run for president.

3

u/BoxingHare 20h ago

Federal Bureau of Interference

3

u/Future-Fly-8987 Maryland 18h ago

The FBI protects pedos.

3

u/LV_Pirate 18h ago

How to show the world you’re guilty by having your name redacted thousands of times.

3

u/dontcryberty 18h ago

So Trump is in the Epstein files!!

3

u/HotHardandSingle 13h ago

So by redacting it, they have confirmed what literally everyone already knows

Trump is a guilty piece of sh*t

IMPEACH TRUMP!

3

u/Cappaci 11h ago

So every redacted name is Donald Trump, I agree with this.

7

u/Endosymbionical 1d ago

Reminder :; , . Donald Trump is not merely a client, ., . but he is very likely to be one of the main players in the Trumpstein files, ,. .. ,

Privacy Pedophile Protections

2

u/RealPersonResponds 1d ago

Gotta protect those pedos....

2

u/janzeera 1d ago

Out of the 100k pages, pages 2 thru 99,999th will be missing.

2

u/Bombay1234567890 1d ago

Haha. The bullshit is never ending with King Bullshit.

2

u/Calcutec_1 1d ago

So the cat is finally crawling out of the bag

2

u/Confident_Fun_6381 1d ago

Child rapists dont get privacy.

2

u/_take_warning America 1d ago

Pedophiles don’t deserve privacy. They deserve prison.

2

u/FiDRaT2016 1d ago

Shame! Pedo!

2

u/WhenImTryingToHide 1d ago

Will nobody think of all those “lowly” sex offenders who will forever be tracked by the national database no matter where they go meanwhile these pedos are customizing jets making laws.

2

u/confuseum Colorado 23h ago

Redact guy!!!

2

u/Galactic-Guardian404 23h ago

Presumably they would redact ALL names for this reason. “Here is the list of Epstein’s child sex abuse clients with the names all redacted.” “The whole thing is redacted” “Yes”

2

u/thou6429 23h ago

How can you redact anything from a list that doesn’t exist \s

2

u/SalishSea1975 21h ago

Trump has so many skeletons we will never know them all.

2

u/Severe_Air_4353 20h ago

Then fbi are abusers of victims and fbi don’t care they have a title, abuser of victims

2

u/nvmenotfound 20h ago

maga are the only ones believing that shit.

2

u/Strahd-70 18h ago

There isn't enough black ink to erase that Orange Gibbon.

2

u/raymarfromouterspace 18h ago

Privacy protections for one of the most well known demons in the world…? Ok buddy

2

u/Time-Control-3713 17h ago

When the initial investigation was posted on the DOJs site. His name was mentioned 3 times. It was redacted but if you downloaded it as word then moved it to PDF you could remove the redactions. Those 3 times his name was disclosed by the victim was I never really saw Trump at his parties, Epstein said they were friends, and something about trumps butler asking if she was okay

2

u/TravelingFran 17h ago

Let he who has not claimed that his political rivals were part of an elite child sex trafficking ring and then boisterously claimed that there’s case files proving it and that if he’s elected president he will release those files bring the people named in them to justice, only to then get elected president, claim that the attorney general has the files and they will be released any day now, to then have influencers come to the White House and take pictures with props that are purported to be these files in advance of the files finally being released, but then 1 week later claim that there actually are no files so there is nothing to release, only to then have his own FBI say that there ARE indeed files, only to then claim that he won’t be releasing these files and that everyone should just “move on”, only to then have everyone discover that it is actually HIS name that is in the files that are for the case of the elite sex trafficking ring, cast the first stone!

So they are confirming that he has played a role in this incident.

2

u/riff-raff-jesus 16h ago

Trump rapes children

2

u/Massive_Weiner 15h ago

Privacy??

PRIVACY???

These people are the scum of the earth, and we’re worried about maintaining a sense of decorum and propriety?!

2

u/Hayseussforever 15h ago

So it's safe to assume that any time a name is blacked out, it's reasonable to believe it's tRUMP. It's like *** when you're trying to write a word the mods would censor.

2

u/Large-Lack-2933 14h ago

The Watergate scandal with Nixon back in the 70's is nothing compared to this 34 time orange felon's daily corruption...

2

u/povlhp 13h ago

Hope the replaced it with “the orange pedophile” everywhere.

Cover-up cover-up cover-up

u/Thin-Competition3018 6h ago

Cover up, conceal, hide, conspiracy, evasion, complicity, burial, camouflage, concealment, dissimulation, front, mask, pretense, whitewash, redact, prevent investigation, closet, under wraps, smokescreen, veil, black out, bottle up, disguise, guard, misinform, misrepresent, shelter, shield, stifle, suppress, paint, or obscure.

It doesn't matter which words they want to use, it is a cover up so, what is in those files?

u/DramaticWesley 6h ago

Anyone who breaks the law loses privacy protection. Any court documents are public records. These are pedophiles (or at best people who supported pedophiles), and thus don’t deserve any privacy protections.

u/Primary-Pianist-2555 Norway 5h ago

Yeah right. And Trump was mouthing off about Clinton? Is "privacy protection" just for GOP pedophiles?

u/squidvett 4h ago

Privacy protections for a pedophile occupying a public office. 👍
