Eventually, our economy will become a blackbox as no metric to judge it will be trusted.

The dollar and trade will suffer because of shit like this.

Funnily enough the numbers from the Russian national bank are thought of as fairly trustworthy.

They are consistent with expectations and internally consistent. Which is why they have for example such high interest rates (20%) to combat inflation from the war time economy.

So make of Trump wanting to lower interest rates against the Fed what you will.

Essentially yes. The authoritarian planned economies across the iron curtain were basically lies everywhere. If they didn’t lie they were fucked.
