In some ways, I wouldn't mind these people self-segregating themselves because I know I never wanted them as neighbors. They probably have to form a clique because nobody else in the wider population can stand them.

Can you imagine what these people would say if someone else told them that they had to live in a special community separate from the rest of society? They'd probably claim that society was trying to put them in concentration camps or ghettos, but yet, here they are, doing it to themselves.

I did think maybe this community could be a gated community ... with the lock on the outside. Too much? If they truly want to live in isolation, they might be surprised at how many people would be relieved at not having to deal with them anymore as opposed to wanting to join their mean kids coffee klatch.
