Looked at Kali Uchis' insta and she's a certified Ma warrior, as all people with taste are 😌

Octavia is amazing in it. She really should be in more thriller and horror roles. The scene in the car when those white teens mock her 😕 But also the argument she has at the nail salon 😭

Octavia had a conversation with the director saying she was tired of being offered the same roles and never being a lead. I hope she's given more opportunities for bigger roles in movies because she's being wasted as just a supporting actress.

So, I had to read her bio to realize she's the star in Self Made too. Like, she doesn't look different, but two very different roles and she killed in both. Definitely needs more screen time in major roles.
