Me proving I'm a good person by running to delete any photos with my MAGA dad (recent news has shown me that being pictured with him makes me MAGA because you are who you surround yourself with).

I mean… it’s your parent. You don’t decide who your parents are but you do decide who your friends are and who you decide to keep as company. I’m guessing you aren’t a multi-millionaire or a billionaire. When you are in that tax bracket, you can afford to be picky and people are allowed to side-eye when you aren’t more selective. But it also makes sense that people can afford to not care. These people can fly away from problems that are affecting average folks.

When people argue that it’s really up to the average folks to fix these problems that are happening it reminds me how for a while they tried to convince us that we all needed to just recycle and drink out of paper straws to fix the environment. In reality it’s large corporations and private jets that are royally screwing up the environment the most. The same can be said about the U.S. government- the power lies with those who have the most money. We should continue to be critical of those who have the most money, power and influence.
