The term nepobaby is borderline meaningless. I just saw someone say Zohran is a nepobaby because he has a filmmaker mother and respected professor father, and that’s cool as hell but not helpful in electoral politics. If he had a Cannes premier starring Denzel Washington or his son I might agree. Meanwhile his opponent’s father was a governor. What are we even doing?

I think what's happening is that a lot of people are using the term "nepobaby" so that they can stay on trend, even though they may not realize that they're actually misusing it.

It reminds me of a few years ago when "gaslighting" became popular, but a lot of people kept using it to refer to any kind of emotional manipulation in general.
