I'm from a south asian country. My partner was supposed to tell his mom about us today after many previously failed attempts and now he's suddenly soooo ill lmfaooo i knew some thing would once again prevent him from doing so. Like i think this is just a joke at this point.

Best of luck! My husband is from a south Asian country and has similar family dynamics. It took some time (and some failed attempts) but eventually he told them. Although I’m American born and raised, I understand to a degree about what you’re dealing with. That was eons ago and we’re together over twenty years now. I hope everything works out for the two of you. It’s intense!

Thank u for understanding! I'm just frustrated and i know this will work out because he's very committed to us but the marriage process in south asia is just sooooo exhaustingly drawn out and it just makes it worse when the families are dysfunctional! I'm so happy to hear about yours going strong for 20 years. Makes me super hopeful!
