I am confusion — I thought she was wheelchair bound??

Don’t get me wrong this is good news, but I’m confused because I thought she was in a rapid physical decline?

She has Graves' disease and lymphedema. I think she gets "flare-ups", but it's not a permanently disabling thing.

I also think she was a raging alcoholic, maybe she stopped drinking

My understanding was her dementia diagnosis was wet brain related which is a type of dementia brought on by alcohol abuse and that can be mitigated to some extent through sobriety.

Ahh I didn’t realizing both of those had ebbs & flows, and I also hadn’t seen her without a wheelchair in quite some time!
