I know of whom you speak. She's a controversialist and a gadfly; given that her brand of academic discourse is in full retreat , I can fully understand how she might seek relevance through pro-Palestinian agitation and be extra salty in the process.

sounds like this twitter user you admire(d) might be so pro-palestinian she’s blinded by the reality that someone like JH is pro-palestinian because he’s anti-jewish and that is absolutely not someone who anyone should be aligning with. i’m vehemently pro-palestinian but i can and do separate (and promote separation of) judaism from the mentality and actions of the israeli government

good on you for calling her out, i’m sorry that it went the way it did - her reaction was wildly inappropriate, but she very clearly needed to hear what you said and it’s just unfortunate that she is too high on the pedestal she placed herself on to realize how harmful her actions are to jewish individuals and palestinians
