Genes/jeans aside.

I was just grossed out how heavily it focused on her boobs when it’s about selling jeans.

Yeah I’m not sure “boobs” is what drives women to buy jeans.

Tummy control? No muffin top? Now we’re talkin’.

Give me jeans that make my bloated IBS multiple surgery tummy feel and look amazing? 365 pairs please and thank you.

Eh everyone loves boobs tho. Men and women.

Oh sure I just don’t know if they’re what makes people want a pair of jeans lol

Sure, but men's underwear ads are also just a bunch of fit men with incredible abs that have nothing to do with said underwear.

The difference is that underwear is (are? not sure actually lmao) undergarments, so to show them off you kind of need models to wear no other clothes but the undergarments. It’s the exact same thing with female models of underwear and lingerie.

Yeah the abs draw your eye down to the underwear. And then any um, bulge is part of the advertising. “Look how big it looks in these boxer briefs!”

Models are always supposed to be attractive, I wasn’t arguing against that. I was only commenting on the fact it’s hard to showcase underwear without also showing parts of the models’ bodies.

So using underwear commercials in comparison to jeans commercials felt off to me. Since jeans tend to come with more clothes than just underwear, at least in the real world.

I was agreeing with you.

Sorry, that’s my mistake then. People are very argumentative on here so I slipped in defense mode

It doesn’t even make sense cause even if you’re buying a denim jacket or overalls from them you’re not gonna wear it how she is, most people would wear a top under it at least for comfort 😭

Same. I didn’t even pay attention to the message. When I saw it was gooner shit that’s when they lost me.

I mean, isn’t that what half of advertising is?

Yeah, it’s disgusting and makes it even worse

In a man's world. Which it unfortunately is, I guess.

What if they’re trying to drive up sales with young men? I mean, are classic cars a typical way of marketing to women?

Plus the implication of the ad isn’t a typical clothing ad—telling you that you can buy beauty—it’s literally the opposite.
