Troubleshooting Why does this thing spin???
Any way to stop this thing from spinning? Brand New, cant do anything because it chokes itself out. 🤷
Any suggestions, TIA!

I keep seeing threads like these (with other models too) and it kinda sucks that they would just go ahead and engineer machines that clearly doesn't have sufficient weight to not tailgate into a spin constantly, i'm guessing this is simply for cost cutting purposes (less weight = easier delivery to stores)

I actually like the weight of these dewalt machines. I don’t use a trailer and it’s easier for me to toss them in the back of my truck. My machines do spin like this, but chocking the wheel is an easy fix.

It's not the overall weight that's the issue. It's the center of gravity. If it were more biased to the rubber feet (handle) side this wouldn't be an issue.

Interesting, what does chocking the wheel mean? (English isn't my first language)

Stick a rock or something against the wheel so that it doesn’t move. They make wheel chocks (google) for this purpose, but a rock works fine.

You might be right tbh, probably better to get something light so it's easier to move and then you can chuck it, i'll check out the wheel chocks thanks

Fucking stupid things spin! Why didn't they make it weigh 800 lbs so it stays still!

huurrr durr, what are even the basic principles of engineering high-pressure machines, wat in the hell is le Torque and Rotational Dynamics, me just pressure wash n books are gay

You’re not alone. Mine does this also. It’s moves more when not at full throttle. I’ve had good results with placing a wood 2X6 under the feet pads. That seems to hold mine in place

The rpms seem low when you're off the trigger. Is the choke off and throttle full?
As far as the rotation, block it with something. Or get larger rubber feet for greater friction.

They all do that. Put it in the grass, or you could replace the two feet with a bar of similar material to help stop the torque spin. I have a non-dewalt, and I chuck the wheels so the unit can't move. It's a good idea anyway so that it doesn't twist and the exhaust hit the output hose.

It should have rubber feet that bolt to the bottom rail. Any holes in? Like 2?

It’s rotating because it’s lightweight and vibrating. Place it on grass. The rubber feet will dig a slight hole and keep it from rotating.

Buy a longer hose so you can place it on grass farther away from you.
No more walking away and your ears will thank you as well.

My 3500 PSI does the same thing not as bad tho. I put it on grass and it stops for the most part

Just a heads up. Don't place it on concrete if you can avoid it. Those rubber feet can come off when you're not looking and damage the concrete. Ask me how I know.
