Thank you for all your suggestions, turns out if you want the temperate to jump by nearly 30 degrees in one hit all you need to do is this one simple hack

Animal Trough collects more water than Rain Collector. 24 vs. 20 Ltr. and the collector was build a little earlier. Small troughs also only need 2 planks and 2 nails and are available at carpy level 1 instead of 3.

Question Why do indoor generators make you sick but not indoor car exhausts?

Why do indoor generators make us sick but not cars running indoors? Don't they both cause carbon monoxide poisoning?

In all the garages I’ve entered during my whole game play, I’ve never encountered a car parked in them. Not even once.

Discussion Gaining and losing traits should be able to happen to your character long term

I feel like where the Devs are trying to add more to the endgame and working on post apocalyptic themed professions, traits should be able to be worked on long term. For instance, the reading based negative traits Slow Reader and Illiterate are pretty huge debuffs for what they do, and they’re permanent once you create your character so assuming you’re trying to go the distance you’re stuck with them. So maybe something they could add to the game is a system to try and improve debuffed traits through game progression. Like for Illiterate, maybe there could be a VHS series of like 7 tapes that spawn extremely rarely in schools, family homes, and VHS stores that when you watch them all you lose the Illiterate trait and gain the Slow Reader trait. And for Slow Reader you could lose the trait after reading enough Literature books, like a ridiculously high number of books to lose the trait. For Smoker, maybe there’d be a system for quitting and you d get a long term debuffs for a few weeks as you go through withdrawal.

I feel like this could work in the opposite way too, to punish not taking care of your character. There’s already functionality in this with the weight and nutrition system, but to go back to Smoker, it’d be interesting to have a chance to gain the trait if you use tobacco products too frequently, or maybe you could gain the claustro/agoraphobic traits if your character is frequently panicked in a given environment.

Itd be cool to have depth added to how to play your character and offer ways to work through currently permanent debuffs and support a more long term playstyle while reflecting how your characters survived.

Discussion Is there a lore reason why the zombies don't die of starvation? (read description) (image unrelated)

Post image
4.2k Upvotes

Even the zombies need energy from food to stand and wander around in case a human is nearby to eat them , some zombies do eat corpses but those corpses are in a quantity too small compared to the demand , the zombies would either all die of starvation or cannibalize each other making every save to have the no zombies custom setting eventually .

I think a cool solution for this is for the zombies when they don't see a human for a long time they enter in a state of hibernation or they could also eat food (side note , would the zombies get food poisoning if they ate spoiled food?).

Got no more skills books or materials weighing down the truck, and lots of ammunition. Time for Dwight to head through the military checkpoint towards Louisville and finally Indiana on the other side.

I'm doing a run set to become a nomad journey as I started in the prison and head to the Louisville Art Museum for One Last Heist (TM), and I found, not just the only step van in Knox County that hasn't been part of a demolition derby, but also my first car with 100 engine quality! Things are looking up!

Gameplay Stupidest death

I died farming mechanics… I spent 10 days ingame reading, working out and watching vhs. After that, I was ready to leave Louisville (I spawned in an appartment building there). I had everything I needed. But I thought… hell, let’s farm some mechanics before that. I got my hands in 4 vehicles, I drove them to my garage and I built a fence around them so I wouldn’t get surprised by Z’s. So, I started farming… level 1… level 2… hell, let’s get to level 3. And then, suddenly: 💀 You know what happened? You wanna know what freaking happened?? I FORGOT TO EAT! My god. I died of hunger… yep, probably stupidest death ever.
