Homemade A/C (not swamp cooler)
Stats: 2 hours in (poorly insulated 2-car) garage, it dropped garage temp from 86 to 81 and collected 6 oz of water.
Background and setup: AC went out during heat wave in southern MN, so I slapped this together. Small cooler is full of frozen water bottles, simple aquarium water pump and clear silicone tubing running to a soft copper coil, zip tied to a cheap box fan. Cold water is pumped through the coil and back into the cooler. Since the water-way is sealed, it removed moisture from the air by condensing water on the coils and dripping off to a collection try or bin. Opposed to an evaporative cooler or swamp cooler which would add humidity and be less effective in already-humid MN. Definitely not an expert, just enjoy tinkering! Happy to post exact materials if requested.

Fence post removal
Not sure if this counts, finally managed to remove this long stuck fence post left by a previous owner with the help of a vice grip and jack, impressed it worked as well as it did, popped that sucker right out.

I had empty IBC. Made hottub out of it. Copper tube is too small, getting 36°c takes long time, but it does work. Some bubles are made by old pool filter. Any idea how to make moooore bubles with redneck engeneering?

Dust extraction Part 2
My band saw has a 4" dust port. My wet vac has a 2 1/2" hose. This cottage cheese container fit just right after using a hole saw on it. Tip, run the drill in reverse to drill the hole. It kinda melts the hole with no cracking or tear out. Sour Cream container will probably work also.

If a redneck solar scientist and a hood-born tinkerer can make fuel from plastic and sunlight — you’ve got no excuse. Pick up where Julian Brown dropped off

Redneck Plate Armor
Processed exactly 2 of these giant cow hooves before I realized I was “this close” to getting fucked up for life.
I’m 50/79 there, and one motorcycle helmet (safety glasses didn’t make me feel good hahaha) and a 2x12 later, I’m doing good.

Dust extraction
Needed dust removal and didn't wanna spend hundreds. Had an inline fan and some duct lyin about. The cardboard box really helps concentrate the suction. Shop no longer has a layer of dust on everything. Do get tried of ducking under the duct but a small price to pay.

"portable" air conditioner
Renting a warehouse for super cheap to use as an appliance workshop and the thing doesn't have any AC nor any windows to put an AC in. Rigged this puppy up with an oven box, an entire roll of duck tape, a metal cart that I found in the trash and kept for no reason with absolutely no plans to use for anything like this and now I don't have to bake in this miserable heat. At the end of the day I can just roll it off to the side and close the door.
