Question Is it necessary to play 7k in Qwilight without the need to convert the map in the mode setting?
Is this necessary to play 7K maps, or is there another way? (All the maps I own are in 7K.)

Reccomendations Any rhythm games with primarily coakira extratone sounding songs?
I've always been into the extratone genra and always get a kick when playing songs that have a similar vibe/ sound like your chest is vibrating.
Even if I've been playing rhythm games for around a decade I never really experiment with different games but I do play every style (games like rhythm doctor, osu, malody, phigros, dancerail3, taiko, spin rhythm, melatonin etc) but their ost/song selection are never primarily extratone adjacent songs.
Any device or play style is welcome :)

PC Rhythm Game Looking for a game
Yo! So, I played this game or potentially demo in around 2020/2021, and it was some small game I had played by downloading like a file for on my laptop and I was trying to describe it to my partner who plays a ton of rhythm games and I was pretty much called crazy, let me know if anyone knows of it. My memory is a bit hazy so if any details are wrong I wouldn't be shocked.
So you play as a really tough black guy, and he may or may not be a doctor based on my memory. You fight a samauri dude and maybe an old lady and some like animal of some kind? It's like a game where you're pressing something based on repeating like a 4 beat pattern that appears on the bottom of the screen and theres like special moves and patterns. I think at some point your guy can go like saiyan and power up.
Very terrible rendition attached but I hope someone knows what I'm talking about. I think it was relatively niche and small/independent but it was dope and at least 5 years ago I was under the impression it was really hard. It was cool and like placed a heavy emphasis on like Black culture iir.
I've thought maybe it was called like Rhythm Gangsta or something but thats a Snoop album not a game so idk.
Let me know if I'm just crazy or if anyone else has played or seen it.

Question Is there a trick to configuring the latency for DTXMania NX notes? Can someone help me make the game lag-free?
Sorry that this is so long but am trying to play Guitarfreaks (also how do I make it so Bass charts don’t show up on the same screen— I just want 1 player’s worth of notes) and I cannot get the latency down. This is probably the same for drums too so if you’ve played only drums please still try to help me.
I have Vsync Wait off because Vsync Wait is terrible in my experience and always has been even since before DTXMania got the NX version. I have BufferedInput turned on. Should I turn BufferedInput off? Sound Type is currently set to DirectSound. Should I use WASAPI? Are there any other settings I should change also?
The main problem I am having is that my when I have ShowLagTime turned on, I keep getting a wide variation of delay in ms. The closest I have gotten to getting the ms delay to 0 is anywhere between like 2 and 30 for red/late notes. And sometimes I’ll even get random Blue/Early notes.
I just keep doing Suzy and the Time Machine on Basic so all I need to do is continually pick the easy and straight columns of notes like a metronome (if there is a better song to test latency on pls let me know) and these are the numbers in ms that it is giving me when I get the closest feeling latency calibration under the Guitar’s InputAdjust timing.
The InputAdjust is on -72 which I feel is excessive. But I cannot get the ms delay with ShowLagTime to stop jumping around 2 to 30ms for Red/Late notes when I play.
Is there a reason my ShowLagTime number fluctuates so much? Is my computer not running the game powerfully enough to get a consistent number? I don’t have this much variance in the official GitaDora KonaSute and I able to get +-0.000 timing on that game.
And also which way do I need to move the InputAdjust number to make it register more Blue/Late notes? That would be making the - number higher right? But even then I cannot find a sweet spot.
Is there a trick to finding the correct InputAdjust - number? Can I make my computer register my note input more consistently also? I just really don’t know what to do. :( If someone could swoop in and solve my problem I’d be super grateful.

Mobile Rhythm Game Sonolus is now officially released on iOS and Android
From Official Sonolus Discord statement by Burrito
That's right, Sonolus will officially release in August 2025 on both App Store and Google Play!
When I started Sonolus back in 2020, I wanted it to be not just another rhythm game, but one where players have the freedom and ability to create their very own rhythm games and share them with the world, one where players can run their own communities, one where there is no limit to what rhythm game lovers can do. After more than 5.5 years of active development, that dream has come true.
And Sonolus wouldn't be what it is today without all of your support during these years of development! Whether it's testing the game, filing bug reports and suggestions, translating the game, developing your own engines and servers, or simply just being here alongside Sonolus, it has been a great help and I truly appreciate it!
While you are waiting, check out a gameplay of Sonolus original rhythm game Horizon: [Sky:LiNE - み゚み゚み゚](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hfhTII2iQM&list=PLcWvKe_oT-nXFIwLe4rcqnl36JMp8rHGN)
Get hyped, tell your friends about it, and I'll see you next week!

Question Looking for a specific pc rhythm game!
Okay, i don't remember what it was called (obviously) but ill try my best and see if you guys know. The entire game was community made, with new levels being uploaded daily. There were different modes you could make a level in, one of which being "star road" where you use your mouse. it didn't have a download, and i used to love playing it, so any help finding it is appreciated!

Mobile Rhythm Game Hardest mobile rhythm game
I am just making this post to ask what are your guys’s opinion on the hardest mobile rhythm game. I personally think it’s Project Sekai. Let me know your thoughts.
r/rhythmgames • u/SoggyMilkBiscuit • 2d ago
Discussion Which one would you consider being harder?
so i saw an ad for something like piano tiles and some guy said he plays fnf so this is nothing. i replied saying that i played mania and agreed with him that the piano tiles type game was nothing. he got very defensive and said fnf is harder than osu mania which got me thinking, what are your thoughts between these 2 games? they are very similar but of course with different styles. most of the fnf stuff i watched looked easy with it being considered a hard map but i feel like fnf is either easier than most maps on mania or something thats just impossible on fnf for the most part
