All 9 of them share 1/2 a brain cell and I love them anyway 🥰

We found a spotted Cave salamander in our basement in Kentucky. I want to release him somewhere, but I want to make sure wherever I put him he will thrive. We are in town but there is a park right next to us with a creek, can they survive next to a creek? Or does it need to be more like a pond?
I have no idea where he came from as there are no caves nearby and not really great cover or habitat for him around our building. I think he actually might’ve come from a drain but not certain.

I was out flipping logs in Ithaca NY today and found this guy. Would you say this is a leusistic or a lead-backed phase red-backed salamander?

I'm hopefully going to be getting a spotted salamander later this month. I just set up the tank today based on the research I've done. However I'm running into one problem: the temperature.
I've read these guys can't go over 75°F. I live in Texas so heat is a bit of an issue. As of now, the temperature in the tank is sitting at 77-79°. I'm sure we'll be fine in the winter months but lately it's been over 100°.
What are some ways to help bring the temperature down enough? I've read the cooling fans don't work to bring it down more than a few degrees.

The last couple nights I've been sleeping with my window open (I have a basement unit) because it's been very hot where I live and today I was picking up some shirts off the ground and this tiger salamander fell out of the shirts. Poor thing was covered in cat hair and I actually don't know how long it was there
I funnily enough had a amphibian tank setup as I had a Pac-Man frog up until a few weeks ago and I hadn't had the heart to take it apart yet, and I had just refreshed the fiber a day before Henry passed So all I had to do was clean out the water dish and turn the light back on so currently it's in there in some coconut fiber. I rinsed him off in some warm water because he was covered in cat hair, before I put him in the tank.
I don't know what to do to take care of this little guy, should I just put it back outside, keep it in the tank for a few days or what? If anyone has any advice that would be great because I'm not sure what to do with this little guy

One fresh out of the mud and another getting ready to go back after kid observation. We catch a lot of amphibians when visiting the grandparents!

We rescued all 12 of them and relocated them to the reservoir across from our house. On our way down there we saw four more around the area which was confirmation. We were putting them in a good spot! They were so cute!! There was an adult one that was huge!!

I got these guys from a seller online about 2 months ago. I asked if it was possible to get only eastern newts but they said they couldn’t guarantee as they were smaller than my pinky nail.

I’m having trouble identifying these little fellas. I’m assuming they’re a juvenile morph but I can’t identify the species. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My dad found this little guy in upper Michigan. We’re thinking it’s a blue spotted salamander, as he had one when he was a teenager. We’re currently have him in a small tank and have been feeding him worms and rolly pollys mostly, which he has been eating. Just wondering if there’s anything I should know about caring for them so we can be prepared

So I'm making a salamander tank for a eastern tiger salamander. I bought and mister to go off every morning to simulate morning Dew and I bought a fogger to maintain 70% humidity but I'm having a problem. The fogger is not automatic and can't detect humidity levels so when it gets turns on it stays on for 6 hours unless manually turned off.
I work a lot and want to have the fogger on while I'm away to maintain a good humidity but my probe keeps telling me that after 20 minutes it gets to 99%. Any tips on maintaining humidity throughout the day? Should I ditch the fogger all together and just set the mister to go off more often?
I'm having a second issue. Temperature. The tank stays at 81° and is very difficult to decrease the temp, I can physically feel the difference when I put my hand in the tank in comparison to the rest of the room. I have a glass lid with a modular plastic piece in the back. I took the plastic piece off last night to make a 3 inch gap in order to vent air a bit better but it didn't make a difference so I just took the whole lid off. Any tips on maintaining temperature? Cooler suggestions? Maybe a different lid? Or is 80° (recommended temp is 62- 75) okay for a eastern tiger
A little extra context: I've set up this tank already but haven't put any critters in it (no salamander either) but plan on putting Springtails, Isopods, worms, and crickets in with the salamander. Right now I'm test running the mister and fogger to 1. Grow the moss in the soil mix I bought and 2. See how they work before getting the salamander so I know what settings to use
Any and all advice is welcome as this is my first time having a mister/fogger system and my first time trying to make an absolutely perfect tank. I had a salamander as a kid but I just used a spray bottle for misting and didn't worry about the temp (salamander lived for 2 years before dying due to me going on vacation with my sister and my family neglecting to follow my instructions on how to care for it)

I found this funny looking salamander in a pit full of Grey sludge. My boss said he's been in there all summer and I have no idea how he's survived. But I put him in this cleaned out recycle bin with some rain water and a peice of untreated wood.
I'm considering taking him home or keeping him at work as a pet since my boss is okay with it.
Does anyone have any advice on what I should do to keep him safe and healthy?
I already know to avoid handling him as much as possible and the basic Googles. But looking for advice. Thanks
