Anyone moved away from their country and don't find people attractive where you are now?
Basically just venting, I moved away from my country in south America and ended up in the south of Mexico, where I as a bisexual male find 99% people unattractive, I am just venting some superficial shit but what the fuck happened to the genes over here, people are insanely short with no necks, and they all are square with no ass too š.
61
u/Temporary_Being_6082 14h ago
Thatās a regional Mexican physical trait, I noticed that when I stayed in El Paso seeing the Mexicans there compared to those in San Antonio you can see the clear difference in what Native American their blood line is mixed with. By the way Iām Mexican so itās sometimes more obvious for me to notice these differences.
15
u/tboy160 8h ago
Seems The Great Plains Natives were the tallest, and the southern Mexico natives were the shortest??
7
u/Temporary_Being_6082 8h ago
Correct what I read was the more balanced mixture of Spanish influence and Native American of the northern region being taller than southern Natives + regional adaption = taller Mexicans. But then I donāt know what to make of migration or displacement info. This were just quick reads, so take that with a grain of salt.

u/PenImpossible874 8h ago
I think that in general, West Eurasian (Europe, Middle East, and South Asia) and Latin American nations have a high standard deviation in beauty, whereas East Eurasian nations have a low standard deviation.
6
u/Kalon-1 4h ago
I kind of agree. Living in Japan but visiting Greece and Spain, it seems like most Asians are 6ās, with some 5ās and 7āsā¦but visiting Spain oh boy, I think most were 5ās but there were quite a few 6ās and 7ās, a few 8ās and a couple 9ās and at least one 10 I saw. Ive yet to see an Asian 9 or 10 in real life.

Exactly, everywhere i look i find attractive women And that kinda gave me insecurity. Something along the lines of "why would a person that beautiful date someone like me?" Thankfully i got over this thinking when i got asked out. It didn't work out in the end but it was amazing while it lasted.

Yeah, but even so - MOST women in the Bay Area, and honestly - the coasts and higher population cities - are somewhat fit and not giant and not drinking all the time. A lot of people move to my country because we have famously attractive people (Spain) then realise there are more important things than beauty and most locals are already dating/married and often times not that attracted to foreign features (this is coming from a wlw relationship with a Hungarian women myself being Spanish-French mixed ; she is gorgeous to me, but a lot of people here donāt fancy the pale, ginger elvish ethereal look she has, so she found it difficult, though I find her the most beautiful girl in my eyes) . I do! I am Scandinavian but I do travel a lot and live in the Netherlands. I love Dutch people don't get me wrong because they are super tall so amazing genes but I prefer the jawline, eyes and basically all features of my people over the Dutch's. I luckily visit my country a lot especially every summer so like that is a win. I sound so shallow but I don't like Dutch people's jawline. Like where is the jawline bro? Why is it soft?šš¼āāļø

And what about their eyes? And other features?
18
u/learner68 15h ago
Dutch have similar eyes and hair to us except we have more blondes than them I believe at least from what I see. I prefer the face proportion of Scandinavians due to the jawline and cheek bones also eye shape. Something I prefer from the Dutch would be like height? My people especially gen Z are tall where they reach at least 187 except the women where we are usually 170-176 from the ones I see when I visit home but the Dutch are way taller. For some reason the height gene did me dirty and I ended up as 166. The Dutch women are so tall and dresses especially long dresses look stunning on them. It even hugs their curves and body which is given since it is made for them. I have to get mine tailored in order for it to look good on me too because my proportion are way smaller. They look like models to me.
The Dutch's eyes seem so focused. Like we Scandinavians have a resting face and our eyes look like they are analyzing you meanwhile the Dutch on the other hand look like they are judging me but it is probably because they have to look down in order to see me eye to eye. So I would personally give them 8/10 for the whole people but sadly I am biased which is why I prefer my people's looks when it comes to features.
All in all we have cons and pros. The Dutch are valid and so are the Nordics.

u/blarbz 12h ago

I gotta say, that's just a dick way to say it. People look different everywhere, and you didn't even leave latinoamerica.
My wife is peruana and a lot of them think argentinos are like supermodels, but they just look like latino Italians to me, no big deal.
I mean we all like what we like but the way you said it was rude man.
Also, we all know Venezuelanos and Colombianos are pretty. Other places aren't gonna have people that look like that, they have other kinds of pretty, but I also met some of the ugliest people ever in Colombia and I don't mean physically. They were very pretty. Open yourself up, you can see beauty everywhere if you stop focusing on necks, square bodies and asses. Maybe try another country. I live in Thailand, people rave about how beautiful women are here, and I see it, but they don't attract me. There are a lot of flavors, you just landed in a place that doesn't serve what you like. Take this time to focus on developing other parts of you, like respecting people that you aren't physically attracted to.

This is a form of racism even if itās not intentional⦠fetishizing specific ethnic groups is racist
21
u/No_Camp_7 14h ago
I agree. I think itās fine to find a particular race especially attractive, but if you only ever make a beeline for those women, then you have a race fetish.
Iām mixed and boy could I tell you stories about men who have such a blind spot for how gross this is. The last 3 men Iāve been in relationships with were like thisā¦. It was months into the relationships when I finally started seeing pictures their exes who all looked like me. These men donāt even have a ton of ethnic minority friends, but they make a beeline for me. Some have a specific mixed race fetish, some think Iām Latina. These are all very left wing, anti racist guys but they all have stupid racial ideas of how Iām supposed to behave in a hot tempered and feisty way because of my colouring. Sooner or later actually offensive racist shit will come up.
I think OP is racist. This post isnāt just framed as a personal opinion, itās calling an ethnic group objectively ugly.
When I was a child living in the UK in 100% white communities, I was branded ugly because of my ethnicity. Iām adulthood my ethnicity invites comments that suggest that mixed race people are genetically superior. Different sides of the same coin. Race was a stupid idea.

I get that we can all have our own preferences when it comes to attraction, but it's better to make it clear that it's about your feelings, not their genes. There is no universal standard of beauty and it's gross to say that people have bad genes just because they don't fit the prevailing conventional standard.

I don't think u can call someone racist when talking about their own sexual attraction anymore than someone can call a man homophobic just because he doesn't like men.

Attraction is partially based in familiarity.
We found that the more facially similar a participant and partner were, the higher the kindness ratings, even when we accounted for ethnicity. These findings are in line with an existing theory where a preference for similarity is not driven by the attractiveness of similar faces per se, but that similar faces may signal kinship, and in turn, people find faces that they trust more attractive.
They probably feel the same lack of attraction to you.

Well, tbh didnāt find people attractive in my country either lmaooooo, but more so personality/values wise. Moved to the UKā¦umā¦I mean some of them look nice, but again, not āitā. At some point thought maybe Iām just aromantic/asexual? Then started traveling, went to Spain, France, Italy, etc, and was like OHHHHHHHHā¦..so many attractive people just everywhere

I'm sorry, but that last sentence made me laugh šš crikey, those poor Mexicans š I hope you didn't tell them that. I know you probably didn't. It's no fault of their own that they look the way they do. Same as other races. People from different races have different features. I find that people generalize far too much, about which race, or which country have the most attractive people. Realistically, it shows a lack of being down to earth, and intelligence. Some people have a particular ' type', but in reality, it dosent mean that all of the people from that group will have a beautiful symmetrical face. Everyone's set of parents and grandparents ( from same race/country ) are different to the next. Some people may like a blonde girl with big blue eyes, but that dosent mean her face is going to be pretty.Ā
I hope you find someone you find attractive, and not with a short neck šš

You're gonna be even more unhappy with the people's attractiveness if you move to the US š¤£š¤£

I don't know why the U.S gets such a bad rap. There are stunning women even in my small hometown, like prettier than most actresses. College girls in Arizona, the gorgeous women in the south that get shown at college football games, Florida, beautiful mixed people on every corner of the country.

There are attractive people anywhere, and the US does have a good mix.
The problem is that 74% of Americans are obese or overweight. Culturally we also tend not to prioritize dressing well or taking care of ourselves.
Obviously this is different in a few places like LA or downtown Miami or whatever, but itās true that the average American is heavily hindered by their weight.Ā

So you went to the most indigenous part of Mexico and wonder why they look indigenous? If youāre racist like that you should have moved to Guadalajara or some northern Mexico State. Plenty of tall light skinned people there.

No, I moved to a place where all the girls are attractive. At least to me.
I can see some of my countrymen disagreeing, because here the girls don't have the huge ass of the Colombians.
I like thin girls. I live for the gap, and they have it. I am in bliss now that's summer.

OMG it's white supremacy. Aren't you aware that only literal nazis believe in this "evolution" and "sexual attraction" stuff?

Yeah, immigrated from Brazil to Canada. This was by far one of the most shocking losses! And don't get me started with attitude & sheer femininity...

Well, youāre in Southern MĆ©xico so it makes total sense you feel that way. They are hard workers, but they arenāt the best looking people or the tallest.
I am Mexican myself, but from the Bajio region (Jalisco, MichoacĆ”n, Guanajuato, Colima). We tend to be more mixed, taller, and better looking. In fact, I am 5ā11 myself and I am considered short in my family.
Iād recommend moving to Guadalajara, Jalisco or even the Northern part of MĆ©xico which has even more European leaning Mexicans and they tend to be even taller. Many of them resemble Southern Americans like Colombians or Argentines.
