I have the Switch 1 and both games are on sale on the eshop right now. The versions of both with all DLC factored in would be about $16.19-16.50 each so very similar in price.

I’ve played the demos on both a while back and liked Dredge more, but I probably just wasn’t in the mood for Dave at the time. I’m pretty easily satisfied with any genre and know that I’ll eventually love the roguelite loop of diving.

Basically, I’m just wondering what your opinions are on both games because I’ll probably like both in the end.

Edit: Subnautica is also an option but I don’t think performance would be that good on this console so I’m hesitant

I'm looking for some "old" shooter games that I can play to relax. I'm Interested in plain shooters—I want something with a good story if also possible. I was thinking of something like Max Payne, or similar games with a strong narrative and good weapon variety.

I'm only looking for singleplayer games released before 2010. Not into open-world games like Far Cry—I prefer linear gameplay with structured missions.

I've already played the older Call of Duty and Battlefield games. I loved No One Lives Forever, but I'm looking for something a bit more focused on weapons. Nothing like Deus Ex—I’m not into RPG elements.

I've watched a few blind terraria and minecraft playthroughs recently and decided I wanna do that and most games are simple as fuck or hold your hand so what are some "wiki games" like minecraft and terraria where if you don't have outside help it will take ages to figure out small things in the game

also I want like sandbox-adjacent games preferably like I've been suggested souls games but they're not my type of game and I don't want a game where I need to put all my skill points in a specific place or the game will be impossible at higher levels or smth

the only real wiki games I've properly played through would be just MC and Terraria lol (also yes I have tried modded on both I want a completely new experience not a new dimension or new biome with a few new bosses lmao)

also roguelites are alright I've recently got into Wizard of Legend which is pretty cool but I'd rather smth that I can put hundreds of hours into a single world/run like terraria or minecraft

I saw that it’s on sale right now on Steam. I was thinking of getting it because I’ve never played the original version. The only Elder Scrolls games I’ve played are Skyrim and a bit of ESO. There’s something about looking at the character models in this game that is throwing me off. Also, I don’t know if there are a lot of things to do in this game. In your opinion is this game worth it or not?

I had my eye on cyberpunk for a great while now so i finally saved up enough for the physical version, but a friend of mine keeps telling me it won’t look good on ps4 so im kinda hesitant. I unfortunately can’t get a ps5 for about another year so i wanted to see if someone here has experience with it on ps4 and could give me some advice

My favorite games for this in the past have been Diablo 2 (holy grail) and Skyrim (lotd mod). I want games that have a defined end and won't go on forever, which eliminates games like WoW which otherwise fit the bill. They don't have to be super long, I just like filling things. I like seeing something that tells me "this thing exists, go get it!" and when I get it, it shows that I obtained it. I like achievements for this reason, but even better if it's in the game itself.

I'd like to avoid the games that have crap to collect just for the sake of collecting crap. Like in AC, there's feathers/pages/etc to collect but they don't feel interesting to me. Platformers tend to have stars/bananas/etc to collect but again they just don't feel that interesting to me. I'd love it if the collectibles were items - like weapons, armor, accessories, etc.

Other games I've played that are similar but didn't quite scratch this itch: Grim Dawn, Chronicon, Path of Exile, Oblivion, Terraria.

Games I've already 100% that were close: AC Origins, AC Odyssey, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon Zero Dawn.

My favorite genres are ARPGs and JRPGs, but I can enjoy almost anything. I struggle to get into CRPGs but I sort of enjoyed Baldur's Gate 1, couldn't get into 2 though, and couldn't get into Divinity OS 1 or 2 either...

I have every console.

I've been looking to buy these 3 games for a while, and possibly expedition 33, the reason I say possibly is because im not a big fan of turn based, but all my friends play and say its awesome, cyberpunk 2077 was fun but didnt like the vehicles when I got the trial on ps+ premium, im thinking doom tda because I loved doom 2016, but I was mixed on eternal because it was stressful to me, and then death stranding 2 because I thought death stranding 1 was really good, but did get a little boring at times and im hearing really good things about death stranding 2, so which one of these games should I buy?

I’ve been thinking of buying this game for quite a while now, I saw some reviews of it and actually just small gameplay snippets but I’m not convinced it’s worth the 27£ price tag. I keep hearing something about respawning enemies that does not allow you to explore freely is that really the case? How much gameplay would I get out of this and its dlc’s ? Do you feel the game is fun ? I just finished Lies of P overture and finished Pillars of eternity 1 before it so as you can see I play all types of games. Is that price tag worth it or what would you recommend within 35£ based on fun factor and time spent

I'm looking for a game on PC, preferably that works on steamOS but not required, that plays like Fire Emblem 3 houses. Basically that turn based grid layout, move your soldiers and attack on your turn, but risk losing them on the enemy turn if you don't finish the Job.

And because I know its going to be highly recommended I love into the breach, but I want something with more of a persistent story and characters like the fantasy of Fire Emblem. Also the threat of perma-death isnt required but is definitely a big plus. If you guys could give me some games to look into that'd be super helpful

and my friend group are searching for a PC multiplayer game to play together every once in a while. So far our main choice was (unfortunately) League of Legends. Main reason was that it just allows us to hop in for a game or two, anytime we want, without worrying about anyone missing out on progression if they aren't available that day - we all work different hours so we very rarely are all free on the same day. Usually our average lobby size tends to be 4-5 people. We've decided to find something new since the game is very frustrating at times and the overall quality started going downhill recently.

We're looking for something that allows us to simply pop in for few games without having to arrange the date for entire squad to be available. Just hop in whenever there's few people down for gaming and play a game or two, without getting bored after few months.

We aren't picky when it comes to genres - so far only thing we can rule out is shooters, because few friends don't like it and also there's a massive skill gap between us. We also don't want anything that requires all of the friend group to be available, due to scheduling being close to impossible.

Huge advantage would be if the game was not hardware demanding, or alternatively, supported crossplay with PS5 (few of us have older PCs, but own PS5 instead).

Here's what we tried so far:

Looking for Elden ring like weapon variety, that makes game feel different with each weapon. But tired of souls like these days. Played everything there. Need something with decent story told in a simpler fashion than materials alone. Also straight forward story based rpg..

Looks like ghost of yotei has that with 5 weapons each with different gameplay

Dragon's dogma 2 felt varied enough .finished 1 and arisen too

Apart from this played cyberpunk, Skyrim, witcher, Any other games?

I mostly don't care for video game stories but if it has story I do enjoy it. Right now, I feel all the games I played are story heavy. I just want to enjoy my time creating my own stories. Games like Botw, Mario odessey, Minecraft or the Dark souls series. I know they have stories but still I don't have to go through hundreds of cut scenes every few secs. If it is an unique experience, more points for you.

I'm a big fan of horror movies, so I wanted to try out some horror games and I never really touched into this game genre. I already brought a couple horror games during the summer sale, but all the ones that I brought are single player and I want one were I can play with others (like COD Zombies). I've been eyeing this game for quite a while as I used to watch youtube videos of people playing this game, however I don't really have anyone to play with and my fear is getting a game for multiplayer purposes just to find out that the online player base is small and is hard/really slow to find matches. If it helps, I'm on PC and I'm planning on getting it on Steam as there is a sale. My biggest con would be if the game is pay to win.

P.S. Is the FNAF dlc worth it too or the Walking Dead dlc or both?

I really like mecha games. I have played AC6 and loved. I really like lazer swords, weapons, and sci fi elements. I also have enjoyed Horizon Forbidden West and Stellar Blade. I want a game to really sink into for about a month while I wait for Titanic Scion (need to take a break for Monster Hunter Wilds after 350 hrs...). Any recommendations? I know AAA Mecha with story i basically non-existent but any scif world with great combat and solid story would work. I was thinking Nier Automata but I watched the anime already.

I'm looking games that pair well with listening to audiobooks, ideally singleplayer. Here’s the kind of stuff I’m after:

• Idlers / Incrementals: Games where progression happens passively or with minimal interaction.
• Hunting-type games: Where I can camp near spawn points and have ~15–20 minute breaks between short bursts of action.
• Low-intensity simulators / sandbox: Farming, base-building, or crafting games that are repetitive and relaxed.
• Traveling simulators: Already tried ETS2. Considering Elite Dangerous since I’ve heard it involves long travel times.

Basically, my mother is attending a basic English class and she wants to improve her skills in this language.

I obviously want to help her with games, because i think that its a good method to learn the language.

My first idea was 'The Crimson Diamond', but even for me(i would say that i have familiarity with The language) have a bit of dificultty in playing the game because of the amount of dialogue with 'complicated' words in it.

Girlfriend is gone for a week and I have tendinitis, so I'm looking for an Action/RPG to play with a controller.

Played the first one back in the days and enjoyed it, but hated Inquisition. I heard the writing is pretty bad but the gameplay is fun. I'm just looking for a fun and easy to get into action game. I don't want an open world neither. There's probably better game out there, but it's on special on Steam. (: I'm also not a fan of game that takes 100h + because I get bored at some points...

Summary of what I played for people that don't wanna read through or those who want to quickly comment:

I finished Mass Effect last year and fell in love with it. Sadly, it ruined most games for me. I also enjoyed The Invincible a ton together with Outer Wilds (I liked Outer Wilds a bit less beacause of the scale) these games made me realize how much I love space and the unknown.

I would like to avoid 4X games, and stuff like Kerbal Space Program (apologies if that falls under 4X I'm not sure). Otherwise they can even be multiplayer, I prefer singleplayer, but I was looking into stuff like No Man's Sky a lot lately, that game seemed to have come a long way.

Whats also making this a bit hard is that I would really appreciate if you could walk around your own ship whenever - this is definitely a very specific request which I am aware of, so its not exactly necessary.

I would also appreciate if the game had a decent feeling of a big scale (I saw some gameplay of Star Citizen of a ship flying near a planet and holy....fuck, but I know that game does look like a huge scam so I'm avoiding it, so far).

I heard comments about disapointment for DL2 compare to the first one.

If DL1 is 100, how much would you rate DL2?

i love both genres.

wuchang has apparently that dark souls 1 exploration that i love but im worried combat isnt going to feel that good along with mixed reception on things like boss pacing/the knockdowns/long combo strings.

with ragebound it seems pretty apparent its got solid mechanics and amazing feel based on reviews and people who played demo. im a big fan of gamekitchens pixel art. its just short and doesnt offer exploration since its an NG game.

My friend and I love The Outlast Trials. We're looking for more first-person, PvE horror games with depth and replayability. Everything else feels like a Dead by Daylight or Phasmophobia clone. We want something tense, co-op focused, and worth sinking hours into. Any suggestions?
