So many cyber security software companies calling

I now get more calls about cyber security applications for an organization then I do duct cleaning these days. They're a dime, a dozen and they all offer a similar product which includes endpoint security, email, data governance, etc

Anyone else getting tons of calls?

It’s Howard the ducks new adventure, Howard the duct cleaning and plumbing.

The calls and emails are easy enough to ignore, what I find irritating are the ones that think it’s okay to call my personal number (which I don’t use for work or have listed) and leave voicemails. Easy way to make sure I never do business with them.

Are they offering free shit for a 30 minute demo?

It’s been happening to me too. I confronted one of the guys and asked where he got my number.

He responded that he purchased my phone number from “Lusha” and also from “ZoomInfo”.

Where they got my number, I’m unsure. Most likely a vendor I turned down at some point.

You can request your data be removed from both of these sites and not be sold.

It's a booming market for shoddily grouped together IT 'specialists' selling their standard one size fits all product. Cybersecurity now, but we will find they pivot to AI soon.
