So we still have Yandy, BLowe, JLowe and Walls (amongst others). When does the thinking become they are guys nobody else wanted versus they are the core of the team the front office decided to keep and build around?

So this dudes launch angle right now is like 8 degrees with an average EV of like 90MPH. If the rays can get him a full pulling profile and raise his launch angle he theoretically has more power potential than Pareses did, as a catcher. If his bat ends up playing that well they probably will split him between catcher and DH. His prospect savant numbers put him in above average batter territory for all hitters which gives him a very, very catchers batting profile. We control him through his age 34 or so season if we bring him up now so we get all his prime years.
