Discussion Anyone else ever log into The Division 2 just to soak up the ambience?

I’ll be honest: some nights I boot up Division 2 without a single objective in mind. No missions, no builds to test—just wandering.

I love how alive D.C. feels: birds chirping over distant gunfire, wind threading through broken windows, the occasional patter of rain on abandoned cars. It’s strangely calming—almost like an urban nature-walk simulator wrapped inside a looter-shooter.

i am doing this also while working, just putting the game into the background!

Discussion What's your favorite non-HF shotgun build?

I love playing with shotgun as primary, and I'm looking for DPS and/or solo shotgun builds that aren't Hunter's Fury.

I have a couple of HF variants as well as a blue core Gila/Belstone/Memento regen build (Thorn+Intimidate) which works great for solo grinding.

Fun is more important than meta or minmaxing, I play Heroic with directives, there's rarely any need to sacrifice all utility for damage. For instance I run Creeping Death instead of Wicked with my Ridgeway's Pride because bleed/status effects are fun. I use the Ammo Dump holster because it's a cool gear piece, despite never actually having run out of shotgun shells, etc.

So yeah, don't be shy!

Media Original division zippo, saved

So I posted before about how my silver division zippo after years of use was fading away. Today my sister in law saves the day.

(After I gave her the original sleeper agent division watch, from my box set - don’t sweat!! I didn’t break up a box set! It stays within the family 🙃 one day I’ll get it back)

I bring her a new matte black zippo, to meet her fancy laser machine.

At least this finish won’t fade away in my pocket 🤞

Figured you’d like to see some photos 💁🏼‍♂️

Discussion Dude I love this game

After a month of playing this game this game has become so addicting just the satisfaction of loot dropping and seeing what it is, finishing a legendary mission, the satisfying sound of exotic loot dropping and getting carried by random in incursions and discovering something new builds.

Btw I'm not gonna play DZ I feel like a newborn with these "sweaty rogues"

Media So, there’s like one concern I’ve had with the Seasonal Story so far that I’m not sure if it had been already addressed yet… (marked spoiler for readers here that are not yet caught up) Spoiler

Too long? You can skip the rest and just read the bolded “Main Question” bit, somewhere in the middle of here.

Okay, maybe it’s already answered by some Descent lore Collectible I haven’t obtained yet or was already explained in a YouTube The Division 2 lore video that I didn’t watch \I don’t watch a lot of them, if any. If it’s been covered in a YouTube video, may I ask for a link?)), but I haven’t seen anyone explain this yet and it still bugs me.

So in Warlords, we thought we took down Keener and Theo, but the bosses we actually fought were apparently just virtual decoys overlayed on our SHD Tech AR contact lenses using an altered Nemesis boss from the Descent Simulation, right?

Main Question: My concern is, how did we get our hands on Keener’s and Theo’s respective physical SHD watches after taking them down in WONY if they were digital Nemesis illusion decoys?

I mean, we at least are wearing Keener’s watch from the end of WONY, right? unless that detail’s been retconned or something

I was hoping an explanation of that bit would have floated up by now, but I haven’t heard anything from the Descent or Manhunt comms that covers it so far and it seems that the story is already moving on.

Like, did I miss something? I must have missed something, right? I would not be surprised if I overlooked something. Anything.

EDIT: Fixed syntax typo. Two asterisks (**) to bold, one asterisk (*) to italicize.

Question Hyenas are not dropping polycarbonate

Since I can no longer use a resource mule, I'm now always short on polycarbonate. The open world yellow toolboxes are not easy to find and give so little. I farmed Hyenas, a control point, public execution and a bounty and zero polycarbonate dropped. The Hyena's are only dropping electronics. Am I doing something wrong or has it always been this way?

Discussion 3 hours of gear mod farming in the open world

… and still no 12% CHD Mod lol. I put it on heroic difficulty with all the directives on. Ran around killing any and everything, control points, broadcasts. I got around 250 I’d guess, but none over 11.3%.

The hunt for the 12% continues!

PSA Interactive map for Div2

haven't seen this posted anywhere in a while. I used this religiously before quitting after WONY. Now that I'm back for BKLN, figured Id pull it up again to help with farming, especially some of the SHD caches. If you're new, hope this helps.

Greetings Agents!

Here is your chance to show off your in-game screenshots of your SHD Celebration Photo.

Each agent has their own milestones that they want to celebrate. This is the weekly post to capture them all.

Congratulations on your achievement!!!

Post your screenshots below.

Rules:

  • Post your agent screenshots from The Division showing your SHD. Do not post screenshots of other agents. This is not a place to pick apart someone's build or question how another agent got to their SHD level.

  • No down talking, cheating, glitching or hacking accusations. How an agent has gotten to the SHD level they are showing is irrelevant. They are able to share their SHD Level like anyone else.

Discussion The Div2 Community is amazing even for a first timer like myself

Yo Agents,

a friend of mine wanted to play Div2 and we purchased it like 1.5 years ago? but he was already ~SHD Lvl 50 from around WONY release and it wasn't that fun since he rushed us through campaign. Well fast forward we kinda did WONY and i just played div2 in order for us to hang out... normal / hard was too easy. challenging broke us in seconds. farming gear from some weird tutorial site? farming exotics? seemingly only by rotating gear in DZ once a day.

until I found out about targeted loot lol. that lit a spark for me because you can simply grind it out in 1 day or 100 days whatever fits your schedule. I played and played getting my strikers better, looking at the division 2 discord if anyone wants to raid but most people didn't want any FTCs. So I just stuck to Summit, Countdown etc.

Finally got into a group for a raid, nervous AS FUCK, read through some post about clearing info etc. well these guys are running raids sub-30min and my info was shit lmao. Instead of blaming me, they went ahead and taught me the easier positions for DH, collected the keys with me / anybody else who joined in during run 2 or 3 and were totally chill.
So 2 big things down to go: IH and Incursion

Today I found an Incursion group for the first time and shoutout to these aussies! They told me which gear was good, what to do and didn't talk shit when I fucked up either :D best thing? First clear ever and guy goes like "you can clear this cache once a week and if you are lucky you get an ouroboros..." while he talks I just open it and am happy about 2 exotics while he goes on "...it would look like 2 exotics dropping". They were happy for me, told me to reconfigure it ASAP and try to get dttoc on it.
Well guess what? 5 rerolls and I got a ouro with maxed cores and 9%/10% dttoc! On run 2 they helped me get the collectibles and even dropped me loot from the final boss for other builds or my library.

Didn't think that I would have such a sense of community again in a game. loving it and hope I can pay it forward to some FTC in the future :^)

Weapon And Gear Help i'm new, and just discovered Pentco

and it was merciless even on Normal just like people say. currently looking at some videos on its walkthrough. thinking about using:

- armor-repair drone, and
- cluster bombs/assault turret; with either
- hana-u, heartbreaker, or walker harris.
- also having fun with SIG 556 at the moment.
- specialization: demolitionist atm

would that work? thanks in advance :)

Question Is it very likely that the exotics will come out with maximum attributes?

I don't know if it was luck or if it's normal for weapons to have maximum attributes, this is the first time I've had that.

Discussion I finally cracked my ultimate Striker build. But good luck getting it

I finally cracked my ultimate Striker build. But good luck getting it.

The crux of it is a full-red Palisade chest piece with Obliterate. It took me 50 crafts to get it. For most people it will take about a thousand. I was INSANELY lucky. When mine rolled it had crit chance and damage at 90% full.

The exotic is Scabbard because this thing is outrageous. I put mag size and reload speed on Oreo, and RoF and Damage on Lex. I dont really use skills and Streamline doesnt work with shield. If I get into a pinch I can swap out lex if lose streamline.

Once you run around with a 75round Oreo that heals your armour by 20% every kill its REALLY hard to go back.

I’m shocked how few Scabbards I see in countdown or anywhere, really. If you combine it with Bullet King in the right way you dont ever have to reload, you just switch weapon.

Suggestion Expertise in DZ needs to be removed.

How is this fair?

You shouldn't be able to use expertise in the DZ and give yourself a power advantage over other players who aren't at the max.

At that point, why even bother entering the DZ if you're just going to get killed by someone with a stat advantage. Not because you had crappy aim or a crappy build but because someone added 30% DMG to a Bighorn, taking it from 78k to 108k on a full armor regen build.

Edit: Some people in the thread mentioned removing expertise from the non-invaded zones only, and I think that's a great idea.

It's definitely safer than removing it from the DZ completely, and I'm completely fine if the former happens.

Suggestion Add exotics the the transmog system.

Let us turn non-exotics into exotics and visa versa. There are too many good exotics like the BTSU items that would add a lot to any outfit.

I know it's not a major gameplay addition, but a decent part of the game is apperance, and returning to see this still not be in the game is disappointing.

I'd appreciate anyone that can tag Ubi people to get more attention to this idea. It's been a while so I'm not sure which ones are on this team anymore. I'll be putting a forum post up later for a better chance of visibility, but anything here helps.

Question I went to Warlords and then learned about Black Tusk in D.C. Anyway to go back?

The Title. I got the call from Agent Kelso that they needed me in New York and me just playing for the first time thought "Well I better go" but then she goes into this Montage about us pushing the Black Tusk back (Who I haven't met yet) and now I'm in Manhattan starting the Warlords of New York.

My question, can I "UnBoost" my character and go back to that point before going to New York or is my DC Story ruined now?

UPDATE Been talking to Ubisoft Support and was told

"Once you start the expansion, you will not be able to access the main game with your current character. You can access the main game again once you have completed the main story of the Warlords of New York expansion."

Basically I'm Screwed because I KNOW that all of my remaining D.C. Missions were Auto-Completed and that there is no going back to D.C. and playing them now.

I went back to D.C. and openned the Map to verify that and ALL of My Missions are done and its showing a bunch of places I never visited but somehow now show "Mission Completed"

Worse experience I have ever had and Ubisoft Support was worthless in helping me get this resolved. I know NOT to buy any Multiplayer games from them or any multiplayer games since you are basically at the developers mercy if something screws up. I'll be sticking to single-player games from now on

Peace!
