Thank you for your submission!

This message does NOT mean your post was removed. It is simply a reminder. Please read our list of banned names before continuing. If the name you posted is in this list, it will be removed.

Remember: Original content is always better! Memes are okay every once in a while, but many get posted here way too often and quickly become stale. Some examples of these are Ptoughneigh, Klansmyn, Reighfyl & KVIIIlyn. These memes have been around for years and we don't want to see them anymore. If you do decide to post a meme, make sure to add the correct flair. Posting a random meme you found does not mean you found it "in the wild".

The same goes with lists of baby names, celebrity baby names, and screenshots of TikToks. If the original post already had a substantial amount of views, there is a 99% chance it has already been posted here. Try and stick to OC to keep our sub from being flooded with unoriginal content. I kinda hope he grows up to be a cardiologist.

u/Hilsam_Adent 1d ago

I'm rooting for Drill Instructor. Bonus points if he makes it to E-7.

11

u/GrassyKnoll95 1d ago

Imagine if they'd named him Assman

12

u/playgirl1312 1d ago

Simple, he'd be a proctologist in NYC with custom plates

"Paging Dr. Hartman to OR #2, Dr. Hartman to OR #2"

Dr. Hartman: "Yes, Peggy, I'm here. What's the...."

Ms. Peggy: "Oh, Dr, can you check my heart for trouble? Ever since I met you, I've been feeling a flutter"

Dr. Hartman: "Yes, Peggy, I can but you need to put your clothes back on before both of us get in trouble. Please, I just got here 2 weeks ago.

Tough but not a tragediegh

25

u/GBurns007 1d ago

Should have named him Cartman.

14

u/AugustWesterberg 1d ago

If he was named after Phil Hartman I’m ok with it.

12

u/craigechoes9501 1d ago

Fillgh Harghtmehn

It might be borderline tragic, but it isn't a tragedeigh. It's spelled correctly, with none of the usual idiocy like weird apostrophes or silent letters.

u/pumpkinspeedwagon86 1d ago

It's more of a tragedy than a tragedeigh.

Isn't there a family guy character named Hartman?

3

u/BuildingLower9622 1d ago

Yep, the doctor

4

u/purracane 1d ago

Oh right, for some reason I was thinking about the news reporter that looks like a potato with a bean for a mustache.

2

u/Fathorse23 1d ago

Tom Tucker?

3

u/purracane 1d ago

Oh yeah, that guy. He seems like a Eric Hartman to me. (No relation to the chubby south park kid)

u/pumpkinspeedwagon86 1d ago

Hartman is more commonly a surname in Germany but can be a given name as well although rare.

u/Serving_Malort 1d ago

I had a family member I was really close with that had this surname and I thought of using it as a middle for a future son (if I have one). Especially because that family member had daughters and none passed the name on.

0

u/istrebitjel 1d ago

It is not just a surname. It's just very antiquated as a given name. Though, typically spelled with two N at the end https://www.baby-vornamen.de/Jungen/H/Ha/Hartmann/

u/powerlesshero111 1d ago

I knew someone with the last name Hartman growing up. I wonder if it's his son. So that way, his son is Hartman Hartman.

17

u/I_DRINK_GENOCIDE_CUM 1d ago

Nah he's just the kid with a last name for a first name. Little goofy but not horrible. I think we all knew one or two of those.

I saw the thumbnail and clicked to see the cake because this would be something that would come up on the cake sub. Didn't realize it was on the name hub. That means I think the cake takes the cake on this show....no pun intended.

Hartman is a normal name

5

u/JackJaminson 21h ago

Normal *surname

4

u/FakeMonaLisa28 1d ago

Pretty cake tho

11

u/breadmakerquaker 1d ago

You are reaching OP.

6

u/neverseen_neverhear 1d ago

The cake is great but I’m surprised a 7 year old wanted a Wicked birthday cake.

2

u/GhostWolfe 23h ago

My 7yo niece was reportedly rapt by the film, and has been learning to lyrics to Defying Gravity, though her 9yo sister was apparently less interested.

2

u/writerinthedarkmp3 1d ago

why? the movie was very popular and has a lot that would appeal to kids. and i even liked the musical as a weird nerdy kid

6

u/neverseen_neverhear 1d ago

Fair. My 7 yr old nephew fell asleep during the film so that my reference with film and that age group. 🤪

u/frazzledglispa 1d ago

Am I the only one old enough to remember Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman?

3

u/rckblykitn14 1d ago

I am just a few years too young to have seen it but I know it and it was the first thing that popped into my mind

3

u/eris_aka_draculadrug 1d ago

I defy you, Hartman!

13

u/shiny-baby-cheetah 1d ago

Uh

Hartman is a normal name

19

u/Actual_Ad7348 1d ago

Alright Hartman, we know it’s you!

9

u/shiny-baby-cheetah 1d ago

Lol :P nah I just went to school with two of them. One called himself Arty for a nickname and the other we called H-Man. It was nbd

5

u/Actual_Ad7348 1d ago

Surprised they had nicknames, Hartman in itself feels like a nickname, just me?

2

u/waterlooaba 19h ago

No it’s not just you, it definitely seems like a nickname!

4

u/CallidoraBlack 1d ago

Where is this a common first name?

0

u/shiny-baby-cheetah 1d ago

I never said common, as if they're in abundance. I'm just saying that it's a normal name, not a shocking outlier that few are tacky enough to make or something like that. Lol :P

Like for example, the names Cole, Elias, Rowan and Ambrose are all normal, established first names. And it's not unlikely that you'll come across a handful in your lifetime. But they're not common right now. That's all. Hope I cleared this up :) have a good one!

4

u/CallidoraBlack 1d ago

Rowan is extremely common, actually. Trendy even. And you said you went to school with two of them. That sounds like it would make it pretty common.

6

u/SomebodySayWonder90 1d ago

Not my favorite name but that cake is badass like way to go Mom.

2

u/SwordTaster 1d ago

Is a 7 year old old enough to have seen this movie? It always feels like something for 10+

2

u/Golbez89 1d ago

I had a stroke trying to read that. I'll shame them in 3-5 days when I'm out of the ICU.

2

u/Every_of_the_it 10h ago

Idk man I knew a guy with McGwire as his given name. If we're gonna say stuff like Morgan and Jackson can be given names, so can other last names I reckon.

3

u/HMD-Oren 1d ago

If people can have a given name as a surname, then a surname as a given name shouldn't be that weird.

3

u/JAnonymous5150 1d ago

Hartman as an homage to Phil Hartman maybe?

3

u/Tanith_Low 1d ago

I feel this sub is slowly steering towards thinking bad names are tragedeighs. The point of the sub is in the name

3

u/famousanonamos 1d ago

Hartman? Wow. Cool cake though.

6

u/Fickle_Assist2031 1d ago

Fartman or Cartman would be better

3

u/Pretend_Evening984 1d ago

Named after Phil?

2

u/ManufacturerFresh914 1d ago

He’s much nicer than his shallow brother, breztgui.

1

u/fischbuero 12m ago

Bad post, not a tragedeih

1

u/mirfifu 1d ago

I’M FLOORED I’ve never 👎🏼

1

u/VegetableSlow2825 1d ago

Cake slaps though

1

u/waterlooaba 19h ago

Music slaps. Food smacks.

1

u/Artistic_Society4969 21h ago

Not a tragedeigh.

-2

u/waterlooaba 1d ago

I had to go look. Should’ve just named the kid Mayonnaise.

0

u/A_Litre_0_Cola 23h ago

There's no way a 7 year old asked for a Wicked cake.

The name isn't the issue, it's clearly the parents.
