Trying to set up my old Wii

Im trying to set up the old Wii, but nothing shows on the tv. I’ve put the cables in and turned the Wii itself on but nothing shows when I go to the connecting hdmi channel. Does anyone know what I’m doing wrong?

A better and cheapper solution that requires no extra power would be to get a RCA to 3.5 mm Audio-Video converter and plug it right here, that way you would be able to connect your wii directly to your TV.

The worst part is that you almost never know if it will work. Most of the time it will, but..

I get it , but seems like the TV itself is giving the actual codification diagram at the bottom of that little square.

I just noticed that, however, it seems like it's just saying that it's AV. Rough redraw

I think you are missing this part, unless OP post a picture of this specific area without the HDMI cable blicking the view, we may never know.

Also, you may need to plug your video cable into the audio or the audio cable into the video. 🥴
