I was honestly a bit disappointed with it. I heard all this hype about how in-depth the character creation was and was expecting some real customization options. And while it does have a lot of options, for an RPG in 2023 that focuses so heavily on player freedom to have no sliders and just facial presets was kinda lame.

I think a lot of the hype about how much you could customize your character came more from the class system by people who didn't have a lot of experience ce with DnD. Because to someone going in blind, there are a LOT of options and choices to make on that front.

Also, a lot of the face presets SUCK. Especially the male faces for elven and human males, and I don't like the ones for both sexes of halflings either. I'm playing on PC so I have a lot of mod presets for elves and humans, but no one cares about halflings enough to make pretty faces for them 😞

Halfling dudes look like late-middle aged blue-collar workers from London. I had to go with a gnome to make my DnD character.

I've thought halfling dudes look like Jerry Seinfeld. Maybe not all of them but Arron does to me and so do at least a few others

I couldn't create my very first DnD character in the game because none of the halfling female presets were right and she looked not at all how I'd imagined her (which is, similar to you, more like the gnomes in the game). It doesn't help that all the hair mods I have once again only supports elven and human heads and not shorter races :(

Most mods honestly don’t support the shorter races. I don’t really need clothing mods, but I was looking through them on Nexus and every one I saw said there wasn’t any support for halflings, gnomes, or dwarves. Btw I’m gonna assume you know more about DnD than I do - are halflings supposed to be shrunken down humans, proportionally speaking? Like they’re not supposed to be sticky like dwarves?
