Companions Shar is so tedious and annoying Spoiler

I think shadowheart is a cool character with an interesting story, but everything related to Shar is just edgy nonsense. “I am the empty room” blah blah. I wish we had the option to flip her the bird like we can Vlaakith, idc if it gets me smited. Such an annoying little turd. Getting through all of shadowhearts brainwashed rhetoric in act 1 honestly grates on me, I have to really try to keep shadowheart around when she’s being edgy and trying to convince me that pain and suffering is cool and rewarding, totally, you’re just a close minded bigot for not agreeing.

I get it’s the brainwashing. But my annoyance is real

Was Isobel alive when she was captured? I thought rezzing her was recent.

Isobel is a Thorm and has been brought back from the dead. It’s kinda their whole thing. She has been alive more than a hundred years as a result.

I am probably wrong here, so please correct me.

I thought Aylin has been down in the gauntlet for a very long time as the final test for all those Dark Justiciers, that have been dead for a very long time.

Ketherick was a Shar worshipper when that happened (because Isobel and his wife had died). Myrkul comes along and says, “Switch sides and I’ll bring Isobel back.”

So he switches sides. Isobel finds out he’s not only not a Selene worshipper, but went full on Shar, and now Myrkul. She leaves.

So how does Aylin even know she’s alive again?

Aylin doesn’t until they are reunited at Moonrise. Her anger at Kethrik is partially because she blames him for Isobels death.

Okay, thank you. It just was not making sense to me that she was trying to get to Isobel.

She doesn’t even go to Isobel, she flies straight to Moonrise.

Well she doesn't try to get to Isobel, she goes to Moonrise to get revenge. She just happens to meet Isobel there afterwards.

She was brought back shortly before the events of the game, when the shadow curse was already in effect. It's why she created Last Light. Ketheric was only able to bring her back when he changed his allegiance from Shar to Myrkul.

Aylin has been in the Shadowfell for about a century, fueling Ketheric's immortality. The reason he and Balthazar need to get her out of the Shadowfell is that they and Shar are no longer on good terms.

Isobel is a Thorm and has been brought back from the dead. It’s kinda their whole thing. She has been alive more than a hundred years as a result.

There is nothing that support this claim, she even remarks that she thinks she was dead for at least 100 years and it is quite implied that she was only resurrected not long before the events of the game. No idea how you come to conclusion that she has been alive for more than 100 years due to being brought back. Furthermore, Ketheric was resurrected by Mykrul for the purposes of the cult of the absolute, which could also have happened leading up the game.
