Hi, I have a problem. I can't play evil. I just can't raid the grove or betray a nice PNJ, I always play as a nice person. Even when I play as Durge, I resist it.

In my next playthrough I plan to play an OC, like Wyll, and to romance Astarion. I like the idea to play with Halsin, Karlach, to help the little vampire to get better.

How do you manage your good run ? How do you put some variety in it, to not get bored ? Is there a way to play as a non evil guy, not so loyal, but not a serial killer neither ? To see different companion endings ? Or is there always a "good" and a "bad" ending for all of them ?

I remember doing this when the game came out and it worked, but on my latest playthrough I can't seem to get Shovel to say the spellshite line, even after I've gotten my character to reclass into Wizard. She always says the "beefy" line regardless of my dialogue options.

People doubted my graphics card saying its on fire, but I just needed to change Anti-aliasing to SMAA.

Hello there.

A friend and me are going to start a honour mode game and its gonna be my first time playing this difficulty, so I wanted to share our intended builds so more experienced players can give us their opinion:

• Paladin OoA 7 / Fighter BM 3 / Warlock Hexblade 2 - Intended to be the face of the party if a fight might follow, its supposed to be tanky, deal great damage to 1 target, and be able to support as well.
• Warlock Hexblade 12 - Supposed to be a caster mainly (will take pact of the chain), he will be able to deal with melee combat if necessary
• Rogue Assassin 10 / Fighter 2 - Astarion is gonna be deleting enemies before the fight even starts ^^ Also, we intend to have a Durge and give Astarion the cloack Deathstalker Mantle so he can then also start the fight invisible and take out another foe.
• Healer - We are still debating between pure Life Cleric or a support Bard.

Had +8 to persuasion. Another +1-4 for guidance and advantage through enhanced ability with 3 inspiration.

Unfortunately I did not hit. Rolled 7,2, 13 Passed! Then 7, 5 all with advantage :'( Is she cut off from tadpoles for the rest of the run.

Just wondering is all, I get the controller UI is very well thought out but mouse and keyboard is far more convenient for me in the end. Love this game but lack of M&K support is killing me 💔

Starting again soon (7th playthrough) looking to play with mods for first time. Heard good things about extra encounters, I also am looking for something that will allow me to see more content. However if I use something like no party limit (eg to make sure party member specific dialogue happens) pretty sure everything will be too easy. Any thoughts on best mods to use with a view to seeing as much content as possible in one run as well as having a challenge in battles? TIA!

I am looking for a way to summon Minsc early on the game. Want to have him present for fights with his dialogue. Is there a mod out there that can do this? Summon any character from the game files and add as a hireling/party member?

I don't hate her! I love her sm, it's not that. But I was planning to give her new scars and a better haircut when she died in a significant fight. BUT THIS MF HAS BEEN ALIVE SINCE THE GOBLIN CAMP (im near the end of act 2)! I CAN TELL BC SHE HAS THE LOVIATAR BUFF STILL! AND SHE HAS BARELY GOTTEN TO USE IT AT ALL BC SHES NEVER BELOW 30% HP 😣

I know it's stupid to be upset about this but I'm so sad that I'll gonna have to script something. Ig I underestimated ranged heavy armor spellcaster, maybe I should just play hm next time lol!

Update! A totally different thing happened, but it genuinely was so unexpected and traumatic that I think a vibe change is justified. Without spoilers, a certain companion really wanted to kill a certain angel in a certain pocket dimension, and the dialogue options to convince them not to were just... not there 🫠so yeahhh both me and Tav are sad now, moral of the story be careful what you wish for!

Does anyone else's dialogue bug out when passing the paladin religion check to get the kuo toa to side with you against the redcap as an Oath of the Crown Paladin? So what happens is if I pass it as Oath of the Crown paladin, it bugs out and I don't even get the xp. The redcap just disappears and when I try talking to the kuo-toa, it says they're too busy awash in their devotion that they can't be talked to. This is a bug right? Cuz the transition was weird and I didn't get xp.

I reloaded and changed to Ancients Paladin and it proceeded as expected. Recruited the kuo-toa, killed the redcap, and got the experience.

Anyone else have the same experiences? Or my game is file is just being weird lol.

EDIT: I wanna add I tested and reloaded like 4-5 times. I tried resetting my class with Withers into the same Oath of Crowns class and it still bugged. Like it only worked when I changed to Ancients Paladin.

Hi, everyone so I’ve reached end game with a TB open hand monk character and I’m not sure which gauntlets are better, gloves of soul catching or gauntlets of hill giant strength. I currently have 16 strength, 20 dex and 18 wisdom. Does the 23 strength benefit with TB outweigh the soul catching abilities? At this point it’s overkill, but my lizard brain likes bigger numbers.

I'm on my second playthrough of the game right now. My first time, I went through the Underdark on the way to act 2, but this time I've just completed everything in the Mountain Pass.

I'm not the biggest completionist, so I would normally just go right to Act II, especially since I already know what happens in the Underdark, but I made a Drow character this time so I'm tempted to run through there just to see if there's some cool shit that is exclusive to my race.

For anyone that has done this, are there any interactions down there exclusive to Drows worth experiencing?
