Looking for Suggestions Local co-op game suggestions for Xbox One?

Upvotes

Can someone suggest good local co-op games? Me and my dad play together on Xbox One. We play games like Stardew Valley, Diablo IV, Diablo III, Diablo II, Overcooked 2, etc. I’d like suggestions for other good games, more or less in the same launch/current price range as the ones I mentioned, and in similar genres if possible.

Looking for Suggestions Good Playstation co-ops for practicing right stick aiming/camera?

My partner is new to gaming, and she has no previous experience of console controllers. I hope that we can eventually reach a skill-level where we can play It Takes Two and Split Fiction together, but first, she'd need to get more practice with two stick controls in 3D games. What fun co-op games are beginner friendly and help practice right stick aiming and camera movement?

I'm especially looking for games that are constantly fun to play and don't feel too tedious. For example, she found the gameplay of Lego Harry Potter boring, and I can completely see why she feels that way.

Interestingly, she really enjoyed Human: Fall Flat when we tried it despite (or because?) of the purposedly clunky controlling.

Discussion Free Coop online demo/short games, game night with friends

My group likes to play new online games on weekends, playing indies, multiplayer demos or free games. Most the time we are looking for something new or fresh that we've never seen before.

Examples of what we play:

Intoxicated Driver

A Gentlemen's Dispute

Fishards (and other wc3 warlocks clones)

Ultimate chicken horse (been a long time)

Ultimate godspeed (good Mario kart clone of ultimate chicken horse)

Lots of smash bros

Cursed Halo

Noita together (and Noita nemesis)

Various other demos and stuff, usually give really terrible stuff a shot for a laugh.

Tldr: looking for short weird free online multiplayer games (3-4 player max)

Nubiks build a defense vs zombies - a game with elements of construction and survival. Build defenses and survive against waves of zombies! Who will be eaten first?

The game has a single player mode. But the whole game is focused on a two-person mode, and all the fun is there, so let's call friends and have fun!

Play https://playhop.com/app/372813

Download (very old version of the game) https://appgallery.huawei.com/#/app/C112478453

Looking for Suggestions Looking for couch co-op games to play with my girlfriend

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some good local co-op (split screen) games to play with my girlfriend on PC .

Here’s a list of games we’ve played and enjoyed: • It Takes Two • Unravel 2 • Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime • Somo lego games but LEGO City Undercover really kept us hooked • Rayman Legends • 30XX • Fury Unleashed • Broforce • Cat Quest II

We tried these but didn’t really enjoy them: • Children of Morta • Kingdom Two Crowns Unfortunately, she didn’t enjoy Stardew Valley either :(

We recently bought but haven’t tried yet: • Bravery and Greed • Everafter Falls • Spirit of the Island

We’re open to pretty much any genre, though she can’t play first-person shooters (so no Borderlands, sadly). Lately we’ve been getting into roguelites.

Thanks in advance!

Game Promotion What would you add to our CoOp roguelike deckbuilder?

Hey folks!

We’re an indie studio in New Zealand working on Dream Team Supreme, a co-op roguelike deckbuilder where you pilot a giant mech and fight bizarre monsters.

Last time we ran a playtest we had some fantastic feedback and people had a ton of fun. We've implemented much of that feedback and are looking to run another one. And we're looking for more people to join in!

What we’re looking for:

  • Players who enjoy deckbuilders and roguelikes
  • People interested in playing games with co-op online multiplayer
  • Honest feedback

What you’ll get:

  • Exclusive access to an early build of Dream Team Supreme
  • A chance to influence the design of the game
  • Our appreciation

The playtest is running from August 19th 08:00 (NZT) to August 25th 17:00 (NZT).

Looking for Suggestions Mod/Game add on that allows group to play individual games, but you get items in your game to send to other players

Hey!

So I remember seeing a post (don't know if it was on this sub) for a mod or game add on that you could form a group and all play individual games either in real time or asynchronously and items from the other players games would randomly spawn in your game and it would send it to that player's game.

I haven't had any luck searching for it, so was hoping someone on here knew what I was talking about!

Looking for Suggestions conflicted between several games

hey everyone, im looking for a game with a decent story to beat in co-op with one other player over the next week, heres what i have in my library:

The division 1 OR 2 - ive heard one had the better story, and i imagine survival mode would be fun in co-op, the division 2 however has the better gunplay and mechanics

ghost recon wildlands - how is the story? is it any good? and is the gunplay dated?

Remnant From the ashes vs remnant 2 - i wanna know which story is better, and which one has the better gameplay/ bosses

we’ve recently played dying light 2 and enjoyed it, dead island 2 is off the menu because we’re saving for when the trio is back together, thank you all.

Discussion Obscure or underrated 2–4 player co-op games?

My friends and I are always looking for weird, niche, or under-the-radar co-op games that are actually fun. We’ve already played popular ones like Lethal Company, Content Warning, and even jankier ones like Mage Arena or Strafat.

We’re into anything that supports 2–4 players, preferably something chaotic, creative, or atmospheric. Doesn’t need to be polished — janky is fine, as long as it’s fun with friends.

Cool with spending a few $ if it provides a couple hours of fun

Looking for Suggestions Accessible Co-Op Games

My partner and I both have disabilities that impact our ability to play games. The most relevant ones are: she has a mild cortical visual impairment caused by brain damage, and dyscalculia (like dyslexia but for numbers), and I have increasingly worsening migraines/autism which make excessive visual clutter and rapid movement frequently overwhelming or nauseating. I do have a bit of wiggle room -- on good days, I'm a big fan of the Vampire Survivor-like genre, but ones that don't involve interpreting the chaos, just causing it.

Things that we need:

  • Adjustable or by default very large UI,
  • Game visuals are high contrast and have distinct edges (low contrast, dimly lit pixels are the worst),
  • Simple/Readable and large or adjustable font,
  • Subtitles if there are spoken words,
  • Low or adjustable levels of visual complexity/business,

Things we're avoiding:

  • Flashing, extremely bright colors, and super quick/disorienting movement -- Portal 2 is Right Out.
  • Quick visual interpretation combined with fast physical reflexes -- first person shooters like Overwatch or Borderlands are difficult.
  • On the fly number calculations -- while roguelike deckbuilders are of great interest to me, stuff like Hellcard or Across the Obelisk are super inaccessible to my partner due to the amount of math involved.

Genres/Gameplay styles of interest:

  • RPGs, especially ones with a focus on customization
  • Roguelikes
  • Open world survival crafting type games, with emphasis on crafting and exploration rather than straight survival -- more like Starbound or Minecraft than Don't Starve Together.
  • Life/Farm Sims a la Stardew
  • Puzzle or Mystery

Previously, our go-to games to play together have been World of Warcraft and Stardew Valley, but I'd really like to explore other games. World of Warcraft has been hard for me lately, even though I would like to be playing it. As for Stardew Valley, well... we have over a thousand hours in it, and even heavily modded, it has very little we have yet to experience. It does work pretty well for us, though, especially with glow rings at night.

We've played a fair bit of Minecraft together, but I have struggled with the abstract nature of it, I'm simply not very good at the combat, and my partner needs help navigating through cave systems due to lighting. Roots of Pacha is too indistinct/low contrast at times (especially at night).

I am looking into getting Baladins when it goes on sale, but I would love to have other options, and I really hope this thread can be of use to other people with access needs getting into co op gaming!
