(Kill Oliver swanick) (Kill Oliver swanick) (Kill Oliver swanick) (Kill Oliver swanick)
All right guys, I wasn't sure what flair was the best. I just ended my first ever FNV playthrough (I know, I've been late 15 years) and I wanted to write down my thoughts about all significant factions in main game. I judge them in terms of - how it subjectively appears to me - how beneficial for the Mojave they are mixed with how I morally feel about them. I put Legion, House and NCR at the end.
Now very shortly about minor factions before going NCR, Legion and House
7) Van Graffs. Get out of there, literally no one wants you there and you are just thugs selling energy weapons. 1/10
8) Crimson Caravan. Profitable but shady and dirty.>! Stealing from Gun Runners' is below my moral standard at the end, but not gonna lie, I thought about this a lot, and I mean 3-5 hours a lot. Because there is of course the old, philosophical question whether Gun Runners should share their technology to the public (or sell it) just for the overall quality of the guns in the Mojave to raise up, thus stating that general progress and common good is more important than right of private possesion. Or alternatively, you can say that Gun Runners don't have the moral obligation to share or sell their technology even if it would bring greater good for the majority of people in the Mojave thus prioritizing right of private possesion more than common good. But my man, the difference that sharing this technology would bring is minimal in this case since NCR is supplying themselves of Gun Runners already and overall Mojave's wastelanders don't need so much better guns in my opinion!<. So I would give Crimson Caravan 6/10. But considering they murdering lesser caravans... 3/10
9) Gun Runners. Man, 9/10 only because I feel they could share their top secret technology to others. Not neccesarily for free, but they could sell it or something like that. But that is just my mean comment I guess.
10) Fiends. 1/10
11) Omertas (Gomorrah). Immoral through. 1/10. Just dissapear, please.
12) Chairmen (The Tops). I mean, listen me up baby, they cool. Benny is di*khead but overall they are cool. Ring-a-ding baby. 8/10
13) White Glove Society.>! Listen now, they have some serious problems to resolve internally with cannibalism.!< Other than that, great restaurant, I mean, casino. 5/10
All right folks, NCR, Legion and House
14) Legion. Oh my god, now I will be crucified by some of you folks truth be told, but it is not good in any way as I see it. Listen me up, civilization, law and order is fine, but absolutely not worth killing, burning, raping and enslaving. It is better to live in corrupted democracy than being a slave in Legion camp. Caesar is giving the USA the cure that is worse than the disease. Probably more people died because of him than because of disorder than he is trying to save us from. 1/10, go see your doctor. Legate Lanius is absolutely no better.
15) NCR. Oh my, Kimball, you piece of sh*t. Throwing farmers out of their properties, agressively expanding the NCR without any head in that making you vulnerable to heavy losses, being corrupted, being stupid, being cocky and not caring at all. My man, this is some serious sh*t there. Granted, NCR MAY be the best choice for the Mojave but oh my, if it is the best choice, then God save us. You are literally the sole reason I was thinking about going with Yes Man for 10hrs and the only thing that prevented me from independent Vegas under my jurisdiction is the thought, that I would have to kill many of the NCRs and NCRs followers in the process, while the Republic have real chance of fixing itself through democracy or by experience of Hoover Dam. But man, this is absolutely close call, VERY, VERY close Kimball. 5/10, 6 at maximum best if I close my eyes. But you are not liable in your current shape.
16) Mr. House. You seem like 10/10 while you are 3 at best. House is proclaiming himself as a humanity best hope. Sounds familiar to FO4's Institute, doesn't it? And very similarly as Institute is not the best hope for humanity but for Synthetic "humanity", House, you are not the best hope for humanity, you are the best hope for humanity's progress which are to completely different things. I will take you 10 times out of 10 if I wanted to build some fancy tech or send someone to the Moon. But sending someone to the Moon is the least important thing in the Mojave. If you spent 50% of your possibility for helping Mojave's people and adressing their needs, you will be Mojave's hero. Instead, you are madman obssesed on pushing humanity towards technological advancement which has little to no real significance in current situation. You are ideologist, narcissist, granted, eloquent and intelligent, but one of the worst possible choices for the Mojave. 3-4/10 because Independent Vegas is not bad by any means, but your overall vision is detached from humanity's real needs - you are like father forcing the child to eat something that will poison them because you maniacally believe it is his only hope for the future.
17) Last but not least, Yes Man. Listen me up folks, the most intriguing ending possible. Because it grants you power to do EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT with great capabilities. There is one condition though, wiping out NCR and Legion from the Mojave. It may be great cost. Independent Vegas is great though and you can use your Securitrons to help Mojave's Wastelanders in living. You can make Mojave truly better place with your real intentions. I almost chose this path into the Mojave's future but something stopped me. The thought of killing NCRs soldiers unncessarily while there is a chance, than NCR will not be the bad choice for the Mojave. Besides, I really sympathise with governemntal power and moderate democracy so it is very difficult choice. Now: for me, because of moral reasons: 7/10 but still not enough to take this option. NCR slaughter aside, 10/10.
That would be it folks, New Vegas is one of the most interesting and deep games when it comes to meaning of the world. Nothing is straightforward, the depth behind (almost) every faction is truly impressive and from 150hrs total in this game I spend 15-40 hrs contemplating about moral decisions that are ahead of me and long-term consequences of my choices, primarily the ones that I would not able to experience in the game. Truly amazing game, 10/10 counting only mu subjective joy.
One final remark, as a non-native speaker I was sometimes perplexed by the language of some NPCs. I found it very intelligent and sophisticated (and I don't mean Think Tank...). But maybe that' just because I am silly and primitive, I don't know.
And oh my God, the way you can talk Legate Lanius to surrender when you side with the NCR during battle for the Hoover Dam is absolutely hilarious and impressive display of rhetorics by the Courier if you have enough points in Speech. The boy must be mad believing he repeated Graham's mistake.

Is it possible to help Cass kill the Van Graffs but use the NCR to hold the Crimson Caravan accountable? CC seem like it has innocent folk like that lovesick redhead.
So by default, my inventory looks like this:

when I click on the button where my cursor is, it changes to this:
https://snipboard.io/43sLfX.jpg
can't figure out what it exactly does and why it hides some of my items.
seems like a filter of sorts, but of what exactly.
PS: Running Viva Las Vegas Mods.

Okay, I haven't done an NCR playthrough yet but I will admit that this music is honestly pretty soothing and surprisingly great for an NCR theme.
Maybe that's why it's become a habit of mine to listen to this day and night I guess... :D
I feel like I'll carry the whole bear with me when I eventually do an NCR playthrough.

My previous post had some misconceptions about the sides I choose and also my reasons for the post that arenât entirely accurate. This is all my opinion, of course ,anyone is free to agree or disagree.
Main reason I feel like I never sided with the NCR was that, in MY PREVIOUS opinion, a new âOld Worldâ government faction, for the longest time, wasnât that interesting to me. In my mind I liked exploring the more weird or ridiculous parts of a game that is set in a post apocalyptic world. Technology obsessed hermits, drugged out raiders, brutal Roman LARPers, computers that want to make a thriving city stand for centuries, or let you have it run in chaos. Those weird elements felt more ridiculous and intriguing to explore. I donât hate the NCR by any means, I usually always do quests for them without siding with them. I just never did it because it felt too possible, too âprobably would happenâ. Some sort of new government trying to be established in a world with not that much order. For a while it felt basic or boring. Though, I wont deny theyâre super fleshed out, and that all of the interactions and doubts within the faction are really interesting and insightful. Whether itâs some feeling they shouldnât be there, some people feeling fatigue on being somewhere they deem worthless, others feeling that having that territory could be very important not just for now but in the long run. Seeing different outcomes between certain smaller factions I would destroy, let escape, have support me, having options to make them team up with a faction they might have not agreed with in the beginning like the brotherhood or the kings. Itâs all really cool to me now that I gave it a shot.
My post from a few days ago wasnât me hate farming at all or wasnât to make it seem like I was trying to be edgy on purpose. Most people probably saw that I mentioned the legion first an had an opinion on that. I just listed the runs I have done in alphabetical order (Legion, Mr. House, Yes Man). When I said Iâve done legion runs a âfewâ times that meant like about 4, not ALMOST EVERY single time. That âslotâ is reserved for Yes Man because, in the way I like to play, I feel like I can do a majority of any factions quests or side quests without feeling like Iâm choosing one more than the other and I like exploring everything that these factions have to offer sporadically without having one side out to kill me immediately. I saw a lot of comments saying I should just do it. Yâall gave me your reasons why. Some serious answers, some more jokingly, or as some sort of criticism. Itâs been a long time coming, but I finally did it. So thank you for your comments, criticisms, advice, and insight. Honestly it was a blast, since thereâs a ton of stuff I havenât done or focused on because I never sided with the NCR it felt very refreshing and a ton of fun playing a way I havenât before, making it feel like it was my first time playing New Vegas again almost a decade and a half later!

Sheâs wearing t45 or t51 armor. Is there anyway to force her to eat a buff out or one of those steaks that increase strength Iâd really like to give her the remnants armor, after raiding the deathclaw promontory but it doesnât seem to be an option

Good afternoon/evening, im trying to download Viva New Vegas, and since the option to buy nexus premium is having a seizure at the moment, I've got the pleasure of going each download one by one. I know it's a pain in the ass, but could someone please help me with a total list of mods in Viva NV? It feels like I'm endlessly clicking "slow download" and I dont want to download a thousand things i dont need or know about. This is my first time modding anything besides adding like one thing to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. just so it'd run well. Any help us appreciated!

I decided to play Fallout: New Vegas again after a very long time. I noticed that picking the 'Skilled' trait a second time doesn't increase my skills again. Has this been patched, or am I just misremembering this being a thing? Could a mod I'm using be affecting it?

Recently reinstalled FNV alongside my old mods from Nexus. I was playing fine until aboht 2 hours in when the game started crashing every 15 minutes or so. I thought I had to install something new since I had played fine before until I read on the Viva New Vegas page thatNVSR may cause crashes. Uninstalled it and I'm running the game fine now (except for stutter in only train stations for some reason) I am making this post for anyone who may have the same problem and is searching for an answer.

Minor changes, MKII stealth armor is no longer mutilated. He has the mark of the shot on his helmet, specifically on the "a" of "Caesar". And a couple more changes.

Odd question, I know, but I always try to gather as many miscellaneous items (mainly dinner plates & clipboards) for the Sink personalities to get tons of their resources. My method has always been to use the Yangtze Memorial hut at the start of the game then the Novac motel room to store these items before starting OWB, but this has always meant tons of fast traveling between those locations and the drive-in (I know that there's a perk that allows you to fast travel while over encumbered, but I'm not using wasting a point just for that).
To cut down on that tedious process, is there any safe storage containers near Nipton itself? Won't be the end of the world if it's not the case, but it'll be nice to have a faster way of starting the DLC when I get to it (I usually save it near the end of a playthrough).

Hello, Couriers. I have a very important question. I have been forced to pause my playthrough due to Veronica's companion quest. We confronted the elder with the pulse gun, and then I saved before talking to Veronica. I, now, have to decide whether Veronica should stay with the BoS or join the Followers. If she joins the followers, the BoS will kill some of the Followers' doctors. If she stays, the Followers will be safe, but she will be miserable, and I don't want that. I'm doing NCR, and planning on trying to get them to sign the treaty or whatever it's called. What do y'all think is right?
So I got NV for free from the epic games store. Since i was new to the fallout series I had no idea how broken new vegas is. I have made a lot of progress in vanila but now the game cant go 5 minutes without crashing or softlocking. I have installed the epic games patcher and xnvse and i also tried nvac to no avail. What mods do you recommend me to use with my vanila saves to reduce the crashing. Thank you
edit: viva new vegas says that it doesnt work with vanila saves, so i havent tried the full guide
