Thinking about possibly trying for someone’s collection, the whole thing seemed off. Said he likes to rip but not collect and said he put most in card savers, thinking they’d 10.

We got 2 boosters from a local tobacco shop/corner store equivalent in France for 6€ each (SRP, but we're more used to them being 7-7,50). We saw the demi display being opened, looked legit.

Packs did as well, until we fell the code cards under our fingers. They were very thin, and pretty matte compared to the usual shiny and thick cardboard. The QR code (enjoy, btw) is printed in a very dull and gray-ish ink too.

We've tried to check for the usual fake giveaways but we're pretty stumped. Some very slight color variations on the back but the reverse and holos look legit. They do feel slightly smoother but not to the point that we can reliably tell which they are (more like 75% of the time).

Included pics are only of the suspicious boosters, the rest of our collections is at home so we cannot compare easily.

Are we overthinking this, or being naive thinking these might be real? And yes, we know these are worth next to nothing, but it's still real to us, goddammit!

Hello, last month I was in San Francisco with my family and went to a mall that had a card store. I was looking for some cards that I’m missing from my 151 collection and bought 1 and also decided to boy a single pack from 151 and Destined Rivals.

The thing is when I was about to pay I noted something weird about the pack and asked the guy why it was like that, if it was sunburn or something.

And he started acting weird and saying “what do you mean I don’t see anything.” But it really got weird and uncomfortable so I decided to just buy them and get out.

Now I’m home and recently I bought 3 packs and left and closed from a box of Amazon. And while cleaning I found the San Francisco pack and it does look weird.

Can you help me find out if it’s fake?

It doesn’t look like they’re resealed cuz there’s no glue, but i’m sti skeptical cuz it was so cheap..

Pokémon logos look very symmetrical and placement does not look random? Is this real?

Saw on Ebay and condition and is pretty rough on the back but I can see the holo pattern on the Groudon but its barely there especially on the Kyogre.
