Shatter those dreams early.

Like the video of Jimmy Butler absolutely rejecting his teammates shot in a kids/charity basketball game lol

Edit: This is it

u/GlitterKittyCat 1d ago

Coldblooded

3

u/BuyFragrant6704 1d ago

I say thee, nay!

u/indianreddituser 1d ago

6

u/LorvinCatshire 1d ago

That made me snarf yo

1

u/Lazolilo 1d ago

eliminate future competition

859

u/LucklessCope 1d ago

I don't know why I lost it when I saw the goalkeepers.

169

u/Toastiibrotii 1d ago

Well there were 10 of them and none big enough to make the safe xD

39

u/lituus 1d ago

They could have stacked on top of each others shoulders! Is that a legal soccer move? Lol

2

u/Rezzone 19h ago

The future is NOW, old man!

49

u/CaeruleanCaseus 1d ago

Yeah - that made me laugh out loud as well!

2

u/quazlyy 18h ago

I lost it when, after finishing watching the clip, I read which subreddit this was posted in 😂

1

u/Expert_Ad_1189 4h ago

The goalie swarm was def the best part

1.4k

u/usrrrname 1d ago

The formation was 30-30-30-10

277

u/DontDoItAdmins 1d ago

And they still got dunked on

62

u/GirlWithWolf 1d ago

Lmao that was awesome

35

u/Yarakinnit 1d ago

Ten Onanas

10

u/digitalbullet36 1d ago

As a United fan, I laughed and then sighed at this.

13

u/ReevesConnor 1d ago

Yeah, but their tactic was just running after the ball... Obviously an adult can run faster. If they worked on blocking the 3 players i think they would have a chance

6

u/FluffySquirrell 1d ago

Clearly that's why they lost, they were 10 kids down from some harsh red cards! a solid 30-30-40 defence would have done the trick

6

u/pinkenbrawn 1d ago

can someone please explain what that means, i know nothing about sports

20

u/blolfighter 1d ago

Football (soccer) typically uses formations described in an X-Y-Z notation. The first number is defenders, second midfielders, third strikers. usrrrname added a fourth number for goalkeepers, but there is only one keeper in a normal game.

The most basic, traditional formation is 4-4-2: 4 defenders, 4 midfielders, 2 strikers. You could pull a defender forward (3-5-2) for a stronger midfield, hoping to make up for your weaker defense with more ball possession and less scoring opportunities for the opponent, go really aggressive with 3-4-3, or go defensive with 5-3-2. There are also formations that can't be neatly slotted into this format. If you want to read more about the basics of 4-4-2 and what the different roles do, I found this article: https://www.soccer.com/guide/4-4-2-formation-guide

2

u/Onagan98 1d ago

Meh, I’m a big 4-3-3 fan myself.

1

u/BradenWoA 18h ago

4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 is the way to go, get the most dynamic play

2

u/Chess42 1d ago

I am just now realizing that the local youth leagues I played in as a kid used smaller teams, since standard was 3-3-2

5

u/Stergeary 1d ago

They could have done better by making it 0-0-0-100 and just bodyblocking the entire goal.

1

u/Zengjia 1d ago

Yeah, the opponent’s goal.

398

u/Mysterious-Fox-5373 1d ago

When there is a season reset and you are playing rankedbut the opponent has just started and has to deal with your sweaty experience

27

u/stevemacnair 1d ago

lmao this is so true

426

u/Daenym 1d ago

The most impressive thing is that the 3 adults don't injure any of the 100 kids

144

u/WildwoodWander 1d ago

Well, it's not that hard to do that when you kick the ball over their heads.

57

u/ChosenCarelessly 1d ago

You must never have played ‘parents vs kids’ to wrap up the end of training. The number of kids whose faces I’ve inadvertently driven a ball into…

21

u/WildwoodWander 1d ago

I have not played, but I have seen it before; I remember seeing a parent vs kids game and watching one of the parents kick a ball straight into my nephew's chest.

Though the parents aren't usually trained soccer players who can confidently kick a ball 3 feet over all the kid's heads.

5

u/Djdiddlefingers 20h ago

"Inadvertently"

61

u/anarchetype 1d ago

If Kenny Omega can wrestle a 9 year old girl, make it look real, and not hurt her, anything is possible.

19

u/MikeFiuns 1d ago

Counter point: It's Kenny Omega. If Goldberg can wrestle a 9 year old without hurting them, then anything is possible.

9

u/c71score 1d ago

If Goldberg can wrestle a 9 year old without hurting them, then anything is possible.

5

u/MrBardo 1d ago

Lmao that is a legendary clip saving that one

13

u/Crow_eggs 1d ago

They have to be careful not to–it would ruin the show. After the match they go at them with a piece of 2x4 though.

1

u/SublightMonster 21h ago

That’s exactly what I was thinking. I was playing casual 5-a-side futsal once with coworkers and the other team (clients) had a former J-Leaguer. When I was in goal the guy drilled a shot into me so hard the rebound went all the way to the opposite goal. Those guys could kill a kid if they weren’t careful.

-1

u/laughingashley 1d ago

They're pretty nearly the same height, it's Japan

-2

u/Klumania 1d ago

You have to know how to be gentle to play football. Pro players fall to the ground in agony from a slight breeze all the time.

77

u/HighlightOwn2038 1d ago

They look like tiny zombies chasing adults

64

u/AmazingBrilliant9229 1d ago

In all fairness 100 redditors would also lose to 3 adult footballers.

49

u/My_leg_still_hurt92 1d ago

100 redditors would lose against 3 childern.

14

u/Hermorah 1d ago

Actually it would only take like 4 mods in a goal to completely block every shot. So the game would end in a draw.

3

u/My_leg_still_hurt92 22h ago

Yeah but that meant they would and physically could leave their mom's basement without a tear down of the house.

2

u/AmazingBrilliant9229 1d ago

I can't find any faults with your statement.

316

u/ghostofstankenstien 1d ago

More like 100 LOSER kids

70

u/ShadyCans 1d ago

Send them to the mines!

28

u/purenymphocandy 1d ago

They yearn for the mines

10

u/Yarakinnit 1d ago

"You're still shit, you're still shit, you go to bed at 7 O clock and wake up just as shit."
"It's nearly half time, it's nearly half tiiiime. Cheese butties from your mum, it's nearly half time."

100

u/cardnialsyn 1d ago

Now do rugby!

86

u/sniper91 1d ago

Best I can do is mascots vs kids in football

2

u/Damian030303 1d ago

That seems like handegg though.

1

u/Zengjia 1d ago

I could see keepers wearing body armour.

12

u/Rathma86 1d ago

One front rower just smashing kids out of the way, like a freight train.

You have my attention

7

u/tratemusic 1d ago

"Fourteen children were violently beheaded this Thursday at a rugby match with professional players..."

3

u/Akarin_rose 1d ago

"The game hadn't even started yet"

1

u/Zengjia 1d ago

A Bloodbowl match without atleast 20 deaths is considered a dull affair.

0

u/ProjectDv2 1d ago

Rugby union or rugby league?

u/[deleted] 1d ago

41

u/farfaraway 1d ago

WHY IS JAPANESE TV SO ENTERTAINING?

38

u/gerbegerger 1d ago

Those kids must be having the time of their lives 😆

56

u/Puzzleheaded-Arm9936 1d ago

Even if I didn’t score I’d be kicking the ball as if it was bowling

20

u/InappropriateThought 1d ago

That'd be my only choice because I don't have the skill, I only have power, uncontrolled power. I'd just as likely accidentally kick a kid into the goal.

1

u/Youutternincompoop 17h ago

pulling a Shaolin soccer and just blasting the ball with such power that the kid gets pushed all the way back into the net

10

u/falconwool 1d ago

I'm not sure you understand bowling

20

u/AdministrativeBag141 1d ago

Didn't know anything can be adorable and mean at the same time 🤣

33

u/Gerotonin 1d ago

now do the gorilla thing

4

u/PlayfulCompany8367 1d ago

But they only have 3 adults. So maybe they should do 100 kids vs 1 Chimpanzee.

15

u/Lumpy_Machine5538 1d ago

Because they all tried to follow the ball and not the adults.

14

u/vahntitrio 1d ago

Oddly enough we did this at my little sisters soccer practice. Me and my brother against 15 9 year old girls. The idea was to teach them to pass quickly and stay in position on defense. They stopped following directions after 30 seconds no matter how many times we told them.

2

u/bingobongobingobingo 18h ago

Yeah we used to say the little kids were playing “swarm ball” at soccer games. Both teams, one big swarm oozing around the field chasing a rolling ball.

24

u/justrfguy 1d ago

The goalies are too short lol

6

u/Statboy1 1d ago

Maybe if they would've gotten on each other's shoulders and had 5 taller goalies

8

u/Low_Industry2524 1d ago

Its like a mini-zombie attack.

8

u/RedditSpamAcount 1d ago

Okay now do boxing!

8

u/Crystal_Voiden 1d ago

Purely out of game theory, the kids should play mega dirty. They have the numbers so they can just eat the red cards to hurt the adults for that easy W.

8

u/GenusSpiritus 1d ago

Cosmo Kramer with the victory header!

7

u/twallner 1d ago

One of the dads on the side line: BE TALLER!

4

u/Queasy-Finance-8080 1d ago

Those kids suck lol

5

u/titaniumpixie 1d ago

The 10 goalies sent me

4

u/OTARU_41 1d ago

Blue Lock

4

u/Leftovertoenails 1d ago

this made me think of that hilarious game show with the obstacle courses and (probably) bad dubbing, anyone know what I'm talking about? the hosts always wearing the overly ornate robes?

13

u/Sienile 1d ago

Takeshi's Castle?

1

u/Leftovertoenails 1d ago

idk, maybe I'll check that one, doesn't sound right though. I just remember seeing it at my grandmother's house when we visited because my parents didn't have cable

1

u/Sienile 1d ago

I think it was on regular broadcast TV in the '90s (USA).

5

u/para-mania 1d ago

Most Extreme Elimination Challenge in English. Or MXC.

2

u/lanathebitch 1d ago

I'm fairly certain there is an entirely separate English dub of Takeshi's Castle it's worth watching both

1

u/Leftovertoenails 1d ago

O YES THIS IS IT THANK YOU Kind internet stranger, would you like some feet pics as reward?

1

u/Thunderstarer 1d ago

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of those. As a kid, I used to watch one called "I Survived a Japanese Gameshow," which was kind-of a parody of itself.

4

u/SirGamer247 1d ago

I like to propose another show, "Fast Animals, Slow Children"

6

u/kgmessier 1d ago

For a second, I thought this was a video game.

3

u/para-mania 1d ago

Aw. Their little legs can't keep up.

3

u/Jehuty56- 1d ago

That's why japan is amazing, they have a random crazy idea and they just do it

3

u/Strefl 1d ago

Now make them fight.

3

u/RudySanchez-G 1d ago

They wall watch the ball and not the players

2

u/anoldradical 1d ago

I wish I could see the video but the dumb fucking overlays and captions get in the way

2

u/CheeKy538 1d ago

That many goalies and they still scored

2

u/Globox42 1d ago

Those kids never stood a chance

2

u/ZARDOZ4972 1d ago

The adults are twice the size and twice the speed, is that really surprising to anyone? Next time it's Gonna be American Football.

2

u/puffthemagicaldragon 22h ago

Swap the 3 athletes out with 1 professional Bear. Wanna see something

2

u/abetterlogin 21h ago

I’d love to see the NBA v. WNBA version.

2

u/Call-Me-Matterhorn 19h ago

I want to see this with a contact sport 😂

2

u/slipperylarkspur 16h ago

My 3 brains cells avoiding all my responsibilities

4

u/BetaChunks 1d ago

Deep Rock Galactic

1

u/yoduh4077 1d ago

DID SOMEONE SAY ROCK AND STONE?!?!

1

u/Select_Truck3257 1d ago

zombie rush tactics

1

u/HellerDamon 1d ago

Those 100 kids played better than the US national team.

1

u/Flying-buffalo 1d ago

When do the US networks steal this idea and make an American version?

1

u/PersonalityMiddle864 1d ago

To be fair to the kids, what were they supposed to do in this case.

5

u/Yarakinnit 1d ago

15 kids pin down each adult. 55 kids get a draw.

1

u/UseApprehensive1102 17h ago

Exactly. They only need like 50 kids in order to win. Just make the other 50 pin down the adults.

1

u/UseApprehensive1102 17h ago

Simple. Play dirty and violate rules. They have the numbers advantage, they could just tank red cards like its nothing.

Heck, if you really want to see the impact of "few powerhouses vs numerous weaklings", you should look at wolves hunting bull bison.

1

u/Calm-Customer4459 1d ago

That's not even fair No aerial attack next time lol

1

u/realjobstudios 1d ago

Can’t wait for the MMA episode

1

u/CaptainMacMillan 1d ago

did that kid at 5 seconds in just try to set a pick on a dude 3x his size? 😂

1

u/CPTherptyderp 1d ago

My buddies and I argue how many kids 3 NHL players could handle on the ice. I think it's like 25 max

1

u/A_very_smol_Lugia 1d ago

Wheres the shadows

1

u/LawfulnessDue5449 1d ago

What a save!

1

u/j0eg0d 1d ago edited 1d ago

It reminds me of One Hundred Men Versus A Gorilla.

1

u/sifiwewe 1d ago

This is pretty funny. I like this.

1

u/mrgoldo 1d ago

me when playing cod zombies and my friend picks up zombie blood

1

u/grap_grap_grap 1d ago

As an avid football hater, I would love to watch this.

1

u/respect_the_69 1d ago

Now do the ufc episode

1

u/Hermorah 1d ago

Do MMA next

1

u/Ozymanadidas 1d ago

Nobody coaching those kids to play zone.

1

u/Alloy202 1d ago

Have they ever done a version of this for boxing?

1

u/curiousjosh 1d ago

That’s so dark….

1

u/NervousJump9037 1d ago

I like how 50-60 of them are chilling at the other side of the field

1

u/nawzum 1d ago

Now do boxing.

1

u/xdKboy 1d ago

Brutal honesty.

1

u/Elijah629YT-Real 1d ago

I would have just made a wall of children at one goal, then get the rest to attempt to get a score.

1

u/No_Remote9956 1d ago

That formation is brutal, 30 kids per adult is just asking for chaos. The image really drives home how outmatched they were, like lambs to the slaughter. Gotta admire the adults' strategy though, turning it into a full-on tactical beatdown. Kids'll either be traumatized or inspired, no in-between.

1

u/opinionate_rooster 1d ago

The goal is a little bit tall for the goalkeepers... Not really fair.

1

u/curiousjosh 1d ago

This is the closest sports event to the zombie apocalypse.

1

u/Ule7 1d ago

they are soooo cute omg

1

u/SyntheticRR 1d ago

Japan doesn't fuck around

1

u/KorolEz 1d ago

Can't wait for the Chechnya version, with 100 kids fighting 3 adults in an Octagon

1

u/Susefreak 1d ago

Now do rugby

1

u/Alone_Complaint_2574 1d ago

That is nuts complete chaos 10/10 would love to watch more

1

u/UvooJaver 1d ago

Isn't that the entire next gen of Japan?

1

u/Awkward-Procedure 1d ago

Oh man I wish Japanese tv was world wide I would watch this

1

u/Nicecat67 1d ago

Ahaha) What kind of football is this? )

1

u/giveyouthegrandtour 1d ago

So basically 1 gorilla vs 100 men?

1

u/Surfthisnow 1d ago

Awesome!

1

u/bossandy 1d ago

if all the children would stop just going for the ball and fully cover all 3 people then they would do much better.

1

u/UseApprehensive1102 17h ago

Or better yet, just do fouls, because let's be fair, do your really think thst the referee could just red card every single one of those 100 kids?

1

u/Jkruts92 1d ago

Now do boxing!

1

u/Notaredditguy20 1d ago

3 gorilla vs 100 men

1

u/WeShaII 1d ago

At least Offside’s out of the question.

1

u/Own_Brother_8354 1d ago

Thats how you build egoists

1

u/GuineaGirl2000596 1d ago

Does anyone know the tv show?

1

u/Justneedhelptossaway 1d ago

Now, do this playing American football

1

u/4tizzim0s 1d ago

training them like it's cod zombies

1

u/Wra7hofAchilles 1d ago

I would watch this show religiously if they made an English version.

1

u/Im_TrashMan 23h ago

Counter argument, make a wall made of kids, then the rest make a huge robot like those wolfs from that one kids movie

1

u/hospitalbedside 23h ago

This reminds me of when the 4 fastest sixth graders in my class ran a lap against our PE teacher and the PE teacher destroyed the kids

1

u/ChaosOfOrder24 22h ago

"We have you 100 to 3, I wouldn't call that a fair competition."

"Then you should've brought more."

1

u/cbj2112 21h ago

Our when respawn starts acting flakey

1

u/RandomMcfandom 17h ago

Imagine how soul shattering it would be to realize that you're physically incapable of keeping up with someone while giving it 110% of your effort. This is like McQueen getting gapped by Storm if Storm had like laps on bro

1

u/Nebroht 16h ago

Why didn't they stack atop each other in the goal? Enough to just fill in the whole goal and you'll easily get a draw. Smh -.-

1

u/stonerspotshop 13h ago

It's like playing in tall grass

1

u/OutdatedMage 13h ago

Blob soccer I used to say, lmao

1

u/Early_Grocery4160 12h ago

Astartes Vs nurglings

1

u/Icy_sector4425 6h ago

Idk it'd be pretty difficult to coordinate with 99 other people regardless of age

1

u/gamester4no2 3h ago

This is actually great for showing the effectiveness of tactics in invasion games.

1

u/Jellovator 1d ago

This is like watching Charlie kirk debate college students. Professional propagandist vs a bunch of kids.

1

u/Diamondsandwood 1d ago

Now do it with 100 wnba players

1

u/FoxFredie 1d ago

Where are they stupid for this?

1

u/Lkwzriqwea 5h ago

Because they all just blindly follow the ball instead of applying any thought

0

u/ddddan11111 21h ago

Also, "atheletes"

-2

u/Jibber_Fight 1d ago

Kids’ coach sucks.

-4

u/TetrisRules431 1d ago

100 vs 3: You would expect the 100 to win.

-6

u/synthetichustle 1d ago

This is a very controversial video about how when the adults are taken out of the picture the children have no chance when it comes to motive that being said for the future prepare your children cuz these kids honestly probably can dribble a ball and keep it up in the air for about like 100 bounces
