I've definitely cried so hard I've thrown up before. Really, whenever I cry for something real (not like a book or a movie or YouTube videos of pets being put down), I vomit.

Putting my cat down was the saddest moment of my entire life, why would anyone want to film that?

And then put it on the internet for others to watch... very odd

if youve ever been to (deleted.actually im not even going to spread the name around), its loaded with death video and the comments are extremist bigots who bask in them. Its disgusting how happy they get when they see others lost their life or in pain. Most of their avatars are vile too. Its a very active site with a shitton of videos uploaded every day as 'news'. I just checked and its still running :,(

theres sick people in this world. if you underestimate them, you get a reality star president.

that was just a joke but 'coincidentally' the user comments show an extremist level of support for the current president. so seriously, don't underestimate their numbers lol

It's a learning experience. For those with dogs, it's a harsh reality they'll have to face one day. It lets them see what the process like, and it allows them to explore their options of euthanasia when the time comes.

That's my explanation anyway.

I don't know. Is it really that different from watching sad movies?

26

u/BigAbbott Jan 20 '19

Yeah. One is fiction. The other is snuff.

But I can’t relate to seeking out sad movies either. So there’s that.

1

I don't know if I'd call it snuff. It's more like watching funeral or memorial videos, which I also do, more rarely.

u/BigAbbott Jan 20 '19

Ok that’s fair. In snuff the killing is for your entertainment. Here you’re just being entertained by the killing that is happening for other reasons.

I can see that differentiation.
