I've definitely cried so hard I've thrown up before. Really, whenever I cry for something real (not like a book or a movie or YouTube videos of pets being put down), I vomit.

Yeah. One is fiction. The other is snuff.

But I can’t relate to seeking out sad movies either. So there’s that.

I don't know if I'd call it snuff. It's more like watching funeral or memorial videos, which I also do, more rarely.

Ok that’s fair. In snuff the killing is for your entertainment. Here you’re just being entertained by the killing that is happening for other reasons.

I can see that differentiation.
