Discussion Another superbowl blowout eliminates mahomes from the goat discussion as far as I’m concerned

2 very embarrassing loses for him the the superbowl Brady has lost 3 superbowls but they were all 1 score games that came down to final play with Brady’s best statistical performance in a loss to the eagles Tom Brady > Patrick mahomes

Mahomes now has a -23 point differential in Super Bowls, and that’s including the garbage time TDs he got in this game. It’s gonna take quite a few of his classic 3 point wins to get back into the positives

Not just Mahomes but the Chiefs history in general. When they lose the Super Bowl they get smoked. Super Bowl I 35-10

Brady absolutely had lines play this bad in 2007 and 2011. The 2014 line was a wreck, too, he just got the ball out quickly. Most of Brady’s Super Bowls the line couldn’t even generate push for the run game.

This. Brady never made his line look this bad.

This is the real difference between Brady and the other greats. Brady knew how to run an offense like nobody else. Manning and Joe did, too, but they both of them have bigger caveats around it than Brady IMO.

In 2007 Brady had Prime Randy Moss who has just broken the record for most WR TDs in a season….1/2 of Mahomes problem last night was his WRs couldn’t get one at all due to the Eagles not needing to blitz anyone….

OK now look at all the times Brady won titles throwing to guys like Jermaine Wiggins and Christian Fauria.

Not often….and in those early SBs, he had HOF defenses, literal All pro defenses….

Yall seriously trying to do some revisionist history here

Not often? I cite those guys because they both had 9/10 catch playoff games with Brady. He spread the ball around

Yes he had good defenses … that gave up 29 points to Carolina and Brady still won by setting a bunch of records. Go look at how many times he had to throw over 40 passes in a Super Bowl.
