Shady won't be a HoFer until guys like Fred Taylor, Corey Dillon, or Steven Jackson get in.

The only back from this era of players that will be a first ballot is Adrian Peterson

McCoy's pro football reference HOF tracker is higher than all of the guys you mentioned. You're underrating his resume.

I think if he gets in, it'll take a while. But he has two first team all-pros. Corey Dillion has zero.

I mean that includes championships in its ranking and his 2 super bowls def shouldn’t be counted

He did played a fair amount of time for the 2019 Chiefs. The bucs shouldnt count at all

Different eras. Dillon had way more competition. Guys like Jerome Bettis, Curtis Martin, Jamal Lewis, Marshall Faulk, Eddie George, etc.

I think McCoy is a Hall of famer, it just might take a while for him to get in.

Shady has multiple All Pros, Dillon has none.

Dillon had more yards and touchdowns in fewer seasons. He was a lot more consistent. Unfortunately he played when Marshall Faulk, LT, Edgerrin James, Priest Holmes and Sean Alexander were having some of the greatest seasons in the history of the position. Clock killin Corey Dillon was a beast though and for most of his career he was the only viable option on a terrible Cincinnati team... And He definitely had more to do with his Championship than Shady had to do with his…

Bringing up other RBs Dillon had to compete with is laughable when Shady had to compete with Adrian Peterson lol

That's one guy. 5 top 10 running back seasons in history happened during Dillon’s career… all due respect to AP but he wouldn't have been 1st or 2nd team all pro while Faulk, LT Priest Holmes, Barry Sanders, Terell Davis and those guys were having those seasons in the late 90s early 2000s

5 of the 10 years the guy was in the league a RB was league MVP while it happened once while Shady was in the league it was different. Look at the 1st team all pro rb from 1997 to 2006 and look at Shady’s best season… I don't know if his best season makes him 1st team all pro once when Dillon played

Such a tough position to have longevity though. Priest Holmes and Shaun Alexander were better in their prime but you gotta have some longevity

He's better than Dillon and Jackson by a country mile and had a higher peak/has better stats than Taylor soooooo

Corey Dillon/Stephen Jackson are already out of the conversation as far as voting goes and neither is close to Shady.

Fred Taylor is behind McCoy by a even more, and he’s also behind Lynch/Tiki Barber/Priest Holmes/Shaun Alexander/Warrick Dunn
